Magnus is not underestimating Judith. He knows full well who she is and how strong she is, but this is a blitz game so anything can happen, and if anything, Judith was an attacker, which thrives in the fast paced games of blitz.
Magnus is like a rock. He can smash scissors but he loses to paper. Every person has an opponent they're weak to, and they could be anyone that isn't ranked that high as well.
Did she get lucky that the opportunity presented itself or did she plan it all along including the e5 pawn? EDIT: just listened to her own commentary, she did get lucky but it was a strong formation. She thought her e5 pawn move could be a mistake but it was brilliant 🙂
I’m not going to go through all the comments to check if someone has pointed out that the game depicted at 1:42 could not be what the idiot commentator says as Polgar is clearly playing the black pieces in that game.
Somehow I don't think Magnus would take it this easy when he plays in a tournament. Even so, a win against arguably the GOAT in any setting is something to be proud of.
The story won't be complete with out even mentioning her father. He was a scientist with a theory and she is the living proof of his theory. By the way he was the one who taught his daughters chess in the first place.
These videos are awesome.keep em up!!
Can you guys imagine being one of those people watching this legendary match?

Great commentary
Seems I need to up my chess content, because this chick's got some fucking accolades.
'Rank 1 women player'
What rank would she be if she was in the men's category?
Not really ”down a queen”, but 4 points. However, with her position maybe, all together, he is ”down a queen”.
Oh no! Something's wrong! I Enjoyed this!!
The narration helped a LOT.
That suspenseful music 👍
I thought it was knight on the rim is a dim not a grim
Dramatic Narrator sounds like he us to work for Dateline NBC or something.
😆
Can't stand this American Prime Time TV style narration.
I love these two guys
🥰
Feels like I'm watching a National Geographic documentary, with that commentary
Wait!!Magnus missed the double fork on both rook's with bishop takes pawn.I blundered, didn't see bishop there!
Nice game.
Terrible commentary.

thats my friends auntlol
whats that music after 4 minutes. holy shit
The narrator is talking like this game is a matter of life and death. Who ever wins, lives, the loser, is killed off.
Did she get lucky that the opportunity presented itself or did she plan it all along including the e5 pawn?

the music was intense bro 😀
Wow.
Judit Polgar is my favorite chess player after Mikhail Tal. Crazy attacking player.
Narrator: Aggresive game
Magnus and Judit: Smiling
“Before delivering a lethal blow… to himself” 😂
wow I like the narration.
Magnus got exposed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!¡!!!!!!
Polgar is the GOAT!!!!!!!!!!¡!!!!!!!¡!!¡
I thought I was watching mat geo . With your voice over
3:06 why didn't Magnus take f3 with the bishop? He could win a rook on that. Or am I missing something?
I love you judit!!!
Best female chess player is nona gaprindashvili

Oh wow, she did this during a casual match. Oh wow….. so impressive.
“It’s a three minute blitz game so the stakes are extremely high”?
Erm, no, it’s a casual game in a park. The stakes couldn’t be lower. Time control is irrelevant.
whats with the soundtrack… like cheap late-night US television
Best commentary ever!with the background music sounding like a murder case
'This is a 3-minute blitz match so the stakes are extremely high' 🤣🤣🤣 They are literally playing in park casually playing.
Anish Giri just casually spectating in the backround:D
Magnus was wise to resign when he did. If you've watched Polgár you know how she suffocates opponents in the endgame.

What a good sport – smiling and shaking hands
What an epic video
I remember seeing the raw footage of this
What an astounding game!
Widely regarded? He is lol
I dont care who you are, Judit Polgar is not an easy win for anyone.
