I felt bad for levi today when i saw the other 2 commentators have gm title next to their names while levi had had jusy IM title
.it was embarrasing. I really felt bad for you bro

Holy crap, we are seeing the rise of a star. Gukesh will be the best player in the world someday, it’s only a matter of how long.

Oh also, Levy looked so excited when he realised his boyfriend was still in the running to win.

You made my heart beats go up because of the way you explain the games 🙂

This has been such a wild ride so far. Hikaru, who really doesn't seem to be bothered at all by anything, just doing Hikaru things, making his own commentary videos on it and just having a grand old time. Mostly just playing for shits and giggles, it seems. Ian… just, well, being Ian and somehow just seeming unbreakable. Fabiano doing Fabiano things and coming up with really clever ideas on the spot, although, in this game, sadly missing a very clever one but, fortunately, still winning. And then there's Gukesh, arguably the greatest natural talent out of the whole host of young Indian SuperGMs, demonstrating a level of understanding of not just chess but of playing a tournament at these time controls. Striking when needed and accepting easy draws when needed as well.
Really, I'm not exaggerating when I say that I think that this has been the most exciting Candidates we've seen in many years. All of those 4 guys deserve the win, in my opinion. And only one of them can actually take the win. Because, well, we have to have a challenger for the WC title. One challenger, not 4. Someone will have to win this tournament. Who will it be? Does it even matter?
If you want my opinion… I want Gukesh to win. Because, well, it'd just be so amazing to have a WC challenger that young. With the potential for him to actually become WC at an age no one has ever done it at. Beating Kasparov's record by a few years. That'd be something else. It really would. And, out of the 4 primed to take it, I'd say that Gukesh has the best shot at actually beating Ding. Ian is too solid, it'd just be endless draws again. Fabi… hmmm… probably would end up the same. Hikaru surely would give us some fireworks, that's just how he is. But, his age might come into play. He's getting close to 40, he may not have the stamina for a drawnout battle with Ding. Gukesh… just seems to have something. There is something there that, to me, says… World Champion material. Even if he doesn't win the title this time around, he will at some point hold the title. I just feel it.

That fabiano-pragg game was so well commentated as a fabiano fan it was an insane moment of stress

Firouzja is a disgrace of this tournament.
Almost illegaly spaming these local tournaments to gain raiting.
Arrived to the tournament, make blunders in each game.
Even worse play then Abaso, because you don't expect Abasov defeating super GMs left and right.
    But Firouzja…
It would be better if Anish or Wesley went to the candidates.

This man takes me on a roller-coaster of emotions with his analysis he lowers his tone and speaks sadly as if the player has lost then he surprises you with the next move that wins

    Can i do the version arabic on your book because a lot of people dasn't know English 100/100 and this operation attired alot of peaple for buying your book,you take money and your viwer hes happy because hes raeded the interesting book in the work {this's is just my opinion}

    🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳❤️❤️

This is why last games in team sports leagues are always played at the same day same hour. To increase the tension in every game by not knowing if your result is enough.

“Thats what gotham chess would do, thats why he covers my games” self roast is based

Gukesh has been unreal. To not take the draw and then come back and win is so clutch. Feel bad for Hikaru hopefully he can win tomorrow if not going to be another year of what ifs.

Awesome recap as ALWAYS, Levy! I cannot wait for Sunday evenings FINALS. Thank you for sharing xxx

Mann today was my exam and i waited all day for this episode to come i was thinking about this match all the day, finally all those waiting is worth it. what a fight it was with your supperr commentary

I even avoided twitter so that i wouldn't see the result.

I was really really routing for prag. I like that guy

"If f4 is so good, I'll play it myself" I love this narrative

Gukesh losing that drawn game to Alireza could cost him the tournament. He will be 9 points, and all because bad risk management.

You were sharp yesterday with your analysis, nice to have you on the stream!

"out of respect for the peolpe who play to win the candidates…" and proceeds skipping over the 2 top placed players on the women's side.

I think one of the reason backwards knight moves are hard to find is because often once you start retreating the tides turn and your opponent takes over i]the initiative (this is not in all positions or more closed positions, but just a thought). It’s so counterintuitive intuitive to move backwards as it often is more risky.

set a timer for 44 sec and find the winning moves. 26:51 no pressure!

Please cool it with the fake outs. The "This happened… actually just kidding this happened" thing. Its really tired and not what we're here for, the games are exciting already without that.

The gukesh kept playing narration was top notch jajsjs

This was seriously poetry. The storytelling is next level. The Iliad, The Odyssey, World Record World Record.

Man I gotta give this man credits, the way he way he emphasises every word in this video and makes me so much more attracted to chess is just unbelievable ❤❤❤😊😊

A master story teller! The drama and build up in the Fabiano game was insane

Levi's book: "My Struggle: the difficulty of being white in the chess world."
