Intercontinental Championship for Prisoners

On October 13-14, the second online championship among prisoners will be held within the framework of the “Chess for Freedom” project.
The start of the tournament is timed to coincide with the International Day of Education in Prisons.
The online championship, organized by FIDE and the Cook County Sheriff’s Office (Chicago), will be held on the platform Chess.com. For the first time, separate tournaments for women’s and youth teams will be held.
More than 85 teams from 46 countries will take part in the tournament.
