The grandmaster believes that Niemann will not be able to get 100$ million

Icelandic grandmaster Hjorvar Gretarsson, who is a lawyer by training, said that American chess player Hans Niemann has filed a complaint with the court and plans to sue the Norwegian world champion Magnus Carlsen for 100$ million.

“Such money — it makes no sense. It’s just that in the USA they like to put up such large sums. He is probably asking for the lost money back. And it makes sense. But there will never be a talk of 100$ million here, so there’s no point in that,” – Gretarsson said.

Hans Niemann filed a 100$ million lawsuit against the reigning world champion after accusations of fraud on his part.

Portal Chess.com conducted an investigation, according to the results of which Niemann was convicted of cheating in more than 100 parties. However, Niemann denied accusations of cheating in the party against Magnus Carlsen at the super tournament in St. Louis.
