The international tournament XVI OPEN INTERNACIONAL DE AJEDREZ DE MÁLAGA 2022, held from October 27 to November 1 in Malaga (Spain), has ended. In competitions with a prize fund of 6500€ (1400€ — 1st place) 96 players, 5 grandmasters participated. According to the results of 9 rounds, the Cuban grandmaster Carlos Albornoz won. In second place is Merario Alarcon Andreas. On the third – Karen Grigoryan.
