I love these kind of videos. Gives me OG gothamchess video vibes. This is what i subbed for 🙂

Thanks Gotham I enjoyed reviewing these old lines with you, yes got the Englund mate with the Queen once and yes The Blackburne shilling also landed that a few times with some nice smother among others !! ! Im glad you didnt show the latvian , need a whole video for that one! your not Smyslov you know but you could be a Capa lol. GM Alterman has the best gambit course !
You should make a updated chess glossary. You vocal dexterity around chess terms and themes is up there ! impress me a lot. Thanks.
Piece deflection is an interesting topic , could have saved me a couple of games. Engine is master of piece deflection. Me not haha !

(Whispers) the GM who got annihilated by the English opening trap was Karjakin.

    Just saying.

    (Also Qh6+!!)

Napoleon Attack works better for me than the wayward queen xd

Absolutely my most favorite video of him in a hot minute

Brilliant tips and tricks little bit more advanced, but absolutely brilliant and I really enjoy this with you

With their powers combined, they are Captain Planet!

I've lost in the Blackburne-Schilling so many times 😭

Would've really loved to see some 1.d4 traps in the QGA positions from white's perspective. Good vid tho

Icelandic and Portuguese gambits are not the same thing. The one shown in the video is the Icelandic gambit. The Portuguese gambit starts like this: 1. e4 d5 2. exd5 Nf6 3. d4 Bg4. It has some traps but it's not quite as dangerous, white has natural moves available that stop most of it even if white isn't familiar with the line. I will play the Icelandic given the opportunity but if white goes d4 I just do main line modern scandi instead (usually Richter variation).

thank you levy i lost 27 points in the first 4 games , truly amazing

I personally love it when people play the England against the London, especially because they usually don't know what to do after you can basically pre-move the defense…usually blunder their queen. Its basically hoping that they have never seen it once before, because its super easy to counter, and no London player should not know how to beat it…you can't really play the London if you don't know how to beat the England

“Chess is a beautiful game” yesterday’s guess the elo

23:58 I would like to make a slight correction: The portuguese gambit is where white plays 3. d4, versus the icelandic gambit which is shown in the video. I didn't know that either, nothing much, but I did get confused.

Played 5 games trying the traps. Nothing goes like the video lmao

Good chess is difficult. Bad chess is super easy lol

Thanks Levy Reached 1600 yesterday with London system ❤️🔥

That Albin trap is lame now because engine move Qa4+. And conpletely winning for white.

be real with us gotham this video should be "ten reasons you lose games"

Hey Gotham I don't know how often you read comments or if you'll even read this one but I'd really like to see recaps of games between engines more often, as they are quite interesting and absurd.

Dude I am from India!. Post ur content 2-3 hours early than this!!

obviously harden is the queen and embiid is the knight. the queen did all that work drawing the defenders just give the knight thee final blow, just like harden doing a pick and roll to embiid. Ez

not a 76er's fan, just a huge James harden fan. FEAR THE BEARD

You should make a london traps and kings indian traps video that would be awesome. Im 1200 atm but started playing like three months ago

james harden is for sure the knight. His step back is like the weird L move knights do and joel embid can do everything but can easily be in danger (injury prone) but is very powerful.

    Damn .. why didn't u start playing chess ?

Oh yeah time to destroy everyone let's goo

fighting a 2-4 years in pop prison case so haven't been around lately… but love u 4 life Levy hope you an Lucy are well

Also, a great trap I've used many times in the Queen's Gambit Accepted:
    1. d4 d5
    2. c4 dxc4
    3. e3 b5
    4. a4 c6
    5. axb5 cxb5
    6. Qf3!
This wins either a rook, knight, or bishop for free with an easy win to follow.

There are no facts, only interpretations says:

    yeayyy,,, another vid for beginners..

Dude… I hate seeing your reflection in the play button

This man's videos are just as good drunk as they are sober. Love you man, keep up the good work <3

    Best trap on earth is the Bird's opening trap w/ f4, e5 fxe5, Qh4+ g3, Be7 gxh4, Bxh4 0-1
If your opponent plays something on the queenside like Nc6 (after Be7), you can try to troll with Qf4. Your opponent may think you tried to move your queen away, but hung it in the process, but if 5. gxf4, then 5… Bh4 0-1 is mate anyways. If they continue ignoring and play on the queenside (w/o giving luft to the king), play Bh4 fb Qxg3+, hxg3, and again it's a mate with Bxg3 0-1.

Eric Rosen has a lot of good videos on the ponziani aswell for anyone looking for more lines/ traps in that
