I appreciate these videos Levy, I watch them every day while I eat.

Would argue in football there are trends in formations (conte 3-5-2, Pep 4-3-3) which take over entire leagues until counters are found which is similar to dabbling in formations. But still entirely unique to chess

Fabi is great. I hope he'll win the candidates

Wonderful video. Amazing energy and timing with sports commentator-like analysis that is accessible and gripping. 10/10 Levy, thank you for sharing this masterpiece of Caruana's.

I know you’re a soccer (football) fan (I’m also from the US), but in soccer different tactics get trendy, like Pep Guardiola moving his outside backs in to play center mid has been adopted by many teams recently… just to relate it to chess

Levy never fails to make a video every day

Football offensive styles. See RPO, short quick throws, air raid

7:08 actually in soccer it's always been changing the way managers think of the structure and the ideas in the match

I feel like a trending play in sports is rare but it does happen. As a humble eagles fan (don’t flame me) the brotherly shove is a good example of this in my opinion. Everyone is trying to do it in the NFL and it converts 3rd and 4th and short plays really well.

Styles and strategies are trendy in all sports. Soccer you'll see formations fall in and out of style… basketball with big men and shooters etc.

"They thought people might find it interesting"

I think Levy was performing at a TPR of around 3100 when he stood on 7/7.

At this point magnus should just confess he cheated to draw kasparov in 2004

Just love how Levy breaks things down and even just dives into historicity of chess

I love how Levy is going history mode

Okay, I really want to know the story behind "Buying Nerds"

new tactics and styles in football become trendy all the time. Just look at current back 3 with 2 Wing-backs or the counter-pressing style made popular again by Jurgen Klopp

Ladies and gens please give Gotham more SUPPORT & LIKES & VIEWS when he does content like these!!!

    Please!

This game should've been called "legless horses"

I would take that as a huge compliment. If someone thinks I'm cheating, damn I'm good.

Aye Levy I love u bro but plz get a haircut it’s lookin a lil straggly lols

In baseball, not a sport according to Levy, lots of play gets trendy. Right now, pitchers are throwing a pitch called a "sweeper" more than ever, opposed to a classical slider.

Just let his opponent tear his own position apart, awesome

Leg Kicks got trendy in UFC because it wasn't something you focus on but it debilitated opponents. I like the idea that the UFC is similar in trends with capturing an opponent in so many different ways of the same game, War.

    Such low effort content!

    Bros not even trying anymore

2014 Sinquefeld Fabi is truly one of the greatest chess moments of all time!

    Magnus mentioned 21 minutes deep

The whole “trendy” thing happens in baseball quite a bit

Can you please bring back sub battles. I am tired of rewatching the old ones

I want you to get into “buying nerds” in a video please.

I like this long in-depth analysis on just one game thanks bro

Seems like Aronian is always on the receiving end of those brilliant games

plays and styles get very trendy in competitive sports of all sorts. Everybody would try new strategies if they can recreate them
