Personally don’t agree with gassing this to be the best game of the year and/or in the last decades I’m honestly not that impressed at all. Memorizing an engine line is the equivalent of memorizing an answer key to a test and then acing said test. Obviously there’s loads more to remember with chess lines but he literally won by chance that it was an exact side line he could recall. 0 skill, intellect, and brilliance whatsoever.
Sometimes it can be so difficult to follow, you explain 48 different lines at a time lol🤯

Honestly, this is what I hate in modern chess. What I loved in chess was that it was a thinking game, but it doesn't feel that way when somebody just memorizes top Stockfish moves for an entire opening. It's basically a person playing against a computer. And there's literally no way to do do anything about this other than lobotomizing players before every game of chess.
Unpopular opinion: It is really impressive… but not worth "legendary game" status as it's just a guy who memorized moves from the computer.. he didn't do the thinking himself 😮💨
Theodorou killed chess. He personally murdered chess with his prep knife, caused 4 fatal wounds and finished the whole process in 66 seconds. RIP chess
