I was wondering if d5 at 3:00 was played because of Bd3, if there was a pawn on d5 beforehand maybe white wouldn't have played Bd3 because dxc4 loses a tempo for white? So now black threatens to win a tempo by taking the c4 pawn. This is why white decides to take the d5 pawn himself.
