Very nice iniciative to give out some free courses as an event reward. I really like what you do for the community and not only to pursue profit, which is a valid thing to do; you really care about showing chess to the world. Thank u so much! It really keeps me motivated now that I decided to get back to chess since Ive been watching your videos.
    Greetings from Chile! 🇨🇱

Watching vidits game broke my heart (I’m cheering for Naka)

"This is still a draw because the color of the promotion square is wrong" people might take it personally.

"White goes on a minority attack" – Levy Rozman for you, ladies and gentlemen

VIDIT'S FACE AT THE END WAS HEARTBRAKING

Like if you skip the women’s section games

There has never been a Chess World Champion who routinely ran into time trouble. World Champions are (rightly) confident in their intuition and ability to calculate variations.

why do women gm s have less ratings ?

Im tired of skipping the womens rounds

run through the women thingy or make a different vid plzzzz

I just wanted to say thank you for your channel. In my mid 50's I've not played chess since I was at school and you're rekindled my interest.
    Why?
I was 'fortunate' to find myself in a school chess club with an International Master, two National Masters, and a County Champion! No matter how may queens I was given the brutal slaughter instilled in me the belief there would be no further point in my playing!

Am I the only one with flashbacks from last candidates Rapport vs Nepo draw decline?

    Nepomniachtchi (b) – Abasov (w) ½ – ½ (34 moves) (remaining time: 51:391:02:05)

    Caruana (w) – Abasov (b) 1 – 0 (34 moves) (remaining time: 08:3806:48)

    Nakamura (b) – Abasov (w) ½ – ½ (29 moves) (remaining time: 1:26:4656:33)

    Firouzja (b) – Abasov (w) ½ – ½ (64 moves) (remaining time: 27:4324:41)

    Gukesh (w) – Abasov (b) 1 – 0 (87 moves) (remaining time: 02:1803:06)

    Praggnanandha (w) – Abasov (b) 1 – 0 (41 moves) (remaining time: 03:4205:34)

    Vidit (b) – Abasov (w) – ½ – ½ (51 moves) (remaining time: 36:0112:10)

    Nepomniachtchi (w) – Abasov (b) 1 – 0 (61 moves) (remaining time: 05:4708:50)

    Caruana (b) – Abasov (w) ½ – ½ (44 moves) (remaining time: 26:5730:23)

    Nakamura (w) – Abasov (b) 1 – 0 (58 moves) (remaining time: 13:2415:41)

    Firouzja (w) – Abasov (b) 1 – 0 (24 moves) (remaining time: 1:09:4057:41)

Alireza achieved a remarkable victory over Abasov, securing the win in just 24 moves! By taking a look at other Abasov game results in this tournament, we can better appreciate Alireza’s exceptional achievement. However, this significant achievement was not given due attention, and the commentary merely suggested that both players were struggling. Such an oversight does not do justice to the game’s outcome. Additionally, there was a failure to acknowledge the personal challenges Alireza faced, particularly the events involving his father, which impacted his performance in rounds 9 and 10 against Ian and Caruana. Despite conducting an interview with Alireza, the decision not to feature it prominently on the main channel was surprising. Given that Alireza is the youngest player to surpass a 2800 rating, the interview was a noteworthy event. It’s hoped that other chess channels on YouTube will continue to grow in popularity, offering viewers comprehensive, unbiased, and respectful coverage of the sport.

Lei Tingjie and Vidit's white games were craaaaaazy endings. Both had an advantage and both could find an Insane forced draw. Live was mesmerizing

Vidit only show off his skills in front of hikaru, true chad

Vidit manages his time like how I manage my time

I have a feel like Vidit is the main villain and just doesn’t want Hikaru to win

"a quite Slav… finally one of those" — MUHAHAHAHA

I know the open section lost it but that draw by Lei was pretty badass

You’re the GOAT of chess commentary. Bringing super GM level chess to the masses is your greatest accomplishment.

Did Levi actually say "pause the video", I thought that was copyrighted.

Chess is so wild. Pragg plays absolutely perfect until the end game, and moves the king one square off, and Hikaru immediately sees it and never looks back. 💪

Levy, the winner of the Candidates 2024 doesn't play for the FIDE World Championship "later on, this very year". They play for the world title next year in 2025. I know you know that, so did you just say it to sound more theatric to new viewers?

I wonder why levy doesn’t upload in 1080p60 anymore

ian gonna win this, lose the world championship and then not qualify for the next candidates

That last match BROKE. MY. HEART.

And I'm just watching this entire tournament through your recaps. You truly capture the ESSENCE of CHESS with your content.

Thank you for what you do.

At least this shows that ian is a human in the canditates too

I watched Ian and vidit live as well, what and amazing battle from the two of them. A masterclass in grit from Ian and incredible courage shown by vidit. Huge respect to them both!

I regret getting into your discord channel 😮 the chess and other stuff there is a weird mess

ROOOOOK TO THE 7TH RANK 😤😤😤😤 Shit make me wanna FIGHT when you say it 😂😂😂

Mag God bless Hikaru to play against ding.

I have never watched the chess candidates before, but this year I've watched all of your recaps. Your videos have gave me interest to play chess again. You are absolutely entertaining and you make me realize how beautiful chess really can be when played by high level players!

VD might not win it, but he definitely played the most exciting chess of all the 8! Respect!

Wdym he’s in the 1st place, it’s not true right ?

i'm an ameteur but i saw h5 ..and vidit had to see this, with his elo of 2727, even with 9 minutes on the clock
