Vidit played correctly, people are angry because he didn't take the draw and help Hikaru but he knew his position, he had to take chances and go for the win to have any hope of catching, a draw wasn't enough for him.
To his credit he did take chances, he did generate opportunities to win this game, sadly for him he missed them but the intent was correct.

Watched the whole Nakamura game real time. Apart from the amount of time to take an obvious move, the thing that struck me was the number of random people walking around the players taking photos. How many "official" photographers are there. There must have been about 10 people pointing cameras and phones at the players. Well, I wouldn't be able to focus with them walking around me. But a player wearing "loud" shoes is a problem?

So you are now using rethorical things to make chess games more intereesting for the viewer and create a narrativ. i like it well done (Nepo/Vidit)
Levy has too many boyfriends now, first was magnus, hikaru and all the other grandmasters in the world
You have the advantage of the engine but in the moment, the reason that Gukesh spent almost 45min for a base shift move was because despite a very dominant position he just couldn't find the winning sequence. And it turns out, there wasn't any obvious one and Fabiano defended very well. Both were pretty relieved with the draw in the end and, yeah, chess is hard.
Somehow, with this one and Naka's win, I wonder if you watched some of these games, 'cos I think you didn't cover really well the critical moments of the games and I'm not even a good player but somehow, couldn't sleep for a couple of nights because of some candidate guys somewhere in Canada.
Most heartbreaking moment for me for the entire candidates tournament.. When vidit lost today.. It's just so bad.. I can't even express.. &after watching the pictures of vd.. I'm just speechless
I was so angry seeing vidit lost. But after watching this recap I feel for him😢
