i watched the video not only for chess but also for you pronounce, thank you !

I remember in my first USCF blitz tournament (I was about 1500) we went down the b5/Bf1 line. Fun times.

I’m a big of GothamChess, but when he tried to explain this theory, he’s trying to dramatize the whole video and we end up not really absorbing information as much as videos like this. Thank you for being straight to the point!!

What if the bishop simply goes back to the scare it was before capturing the pawn…??

i mostly move pawn to h6, since im a GM so yeah

I really like this video content. …Nd4 is one of a kind. I thought the new line is b5! Bxb5 then …Qd5.

Mostly for lower rated. If they knew basic opening principles its hard for black to crack white's position. After Nd4… 0-0 is the best then attack.

These are valuable things to know. Good idea for a vid.

1:02 c'mon, that is not called a 'fork' in chess, silly. it's just a 'double attack' on f7.

This will help me to advance to 1000 elo

I've played this exact 10 move game dozens of times over the years.

thanks for the easy to understand lesson. no build
    up…just straight to the point

What I usually do after d5 pawn takes is Ne7 then they push a the pawn on d5 wich is in the way of their attack and threaten my knight at the same time to wich i respond Nd5 and the attack is stopped later i get rid of the pawn and push the opponent's knight away

I kid you not , just watched this and I played someone and literally every move was textbook 😂😂

What happens when 400 elo uses this: it didnt work

    We don’t care. No one is bothered ! It’s a boring / Classic response ! Yawn !

    ez d5 i na5 i had known this since i was 1200

Yeah I tried this combination on stockfish 1800 Elo the machine played like the first variation. The king comes up to D5 which is not ideal

    Great video, Nelson! Thank you!😂

i usually go pawn h3 before i go nf5 to prevent ng5. is that a bad move? im only 600 rating. still learning

Please make a video on the ulvestad variation, it has a very high winrate for black on the lichess database

This is like a transposed black burn schilling gambit

2:12 As white, my biggest concern would be black playing Bf5, threatening a fork that would force the loss of the queen. To prevent that, I play Nf3. It's even material, and his bishop can't get there in time. …Nxf3, then if gxf3 I can trade off the doubled pawn no sweat. Qxf3 would obviously be a bit riskier.

Isn't the white bishop back to d4 safe aswell??

Been doing this but I've struggled Abit whenever they take with the bishop

it's like "slide the queen and bait it"

The chess board in the back being the fried liver opening 😂

at the end instead of castling white can just play Qf3 taking the bishops diagonal and defending the pawn also attacking the rook

The smothered mate is borrowed from Blackburn's Shilling Gambit, which you might as well learn along with this.

Life hack for Fried Liver players: do not take f7 with the knight unless it is the main main line

In the first scenario what if the knight goes to e4 to attack the queen? We have to move the queen and the bishop can escape the next move.
