I've started keeping an archive of games called "botez gambit accepted". It's games where I lost my queen and either got a win or a draw (mostly against players in the 1800-1999 range). I'm comfortable playing without the queen but I'll never play down a full queen. That's just crazy.
Usually I'll draw the line at getting a rook and a minor piece for the queen (technically only a 1 point difference). If I think my position is really good and I can point out some serious assets in the position then maybe I'll continue playing if I only get 2 minor pieces but that's the exception. Usually the line is a rook and a piece. Anything less and I normally resign.
For anyone curious the archive currently has 4 games in it (3 wins and 1 draw). One of those wins wasn't a blunder though. I gave up my queen for 3 minors and the engine agreed that it was the best move. There are 2 games I can remember that I forgot to archive (1 win and 1 draw). But again I usually have a rook and a piece for the queen.

I just won with this. There was my king, facing the enemy with his fellow pawn, rooks raining down the board on my king. So, I took a pawn and lost 15 points of material . In the end, my opponent lost on time even though he had a promoted queen, two rooks, and a knight and had an M1. And, remember that fellow pawn? The presence of that pawn is what made me win the game
People see the King go full JoJo-mode and start stepping up and they get scared.
Now, this is why I subscribed.
