I started chess at 135 on December 8th 2022, after almost 3 yrs, I am now 1184. Tomorrow i have a chess tourney, all due to this man. I came way before the chess boom, and witnessed. I am greatful to this person right here and you will become a GM.

its hard to learn and adapt but i finally won 1 game, thanks

At this stage in my life, I'm now more upset when Levy's mad at me than when my mom is

0:52 "Lets talk a lil bit about what I'm talking about"
    Speech 100

It's the final 3mins of this video that I need to rewatch basically every week haha. The flow of the ELO. Thanks Levi

This sort of dedication must take YEARS to master!!! i am so not doing this hahahahahaha Im going to continue watching Anna Cramling tho of course 🙂

"let's talk a little bit about what i'm talikng about" LOL

    You're not develop your pieeces!
You're not focusing on the centreeeee!

I lose 90% of my chess games becouse i blunder a lot

I couldn't learn anything because I was busy laughing at his jokes🤣🤣🤣

Jesus loves you all and accepting him into your lives will get you to heaven

Wow, thanks for the great video on common mistakes, if only I could stop blundering, lol.

This video was very accurate. I have no idea what my rating is yet because I haven’t played enough humans but it’s definitely below 1,000. Everything in this video happens to me and a lot of times I even know it while it’s happening but I rush. I especially laughed at the one movers part because it’s so true.

I also think it just has to do with quality of game the more i play to "chase rating" the more i lose instead of focusing on playing a few games a day for Maximum quality

As a rapid 1250 ish player continuity remains my biggest problem. I ask if my move is safe then play it while not considering what my opponent does

I played 7 games after this video I won all of them😂 what a great video!

Dedicate your heart to levy Ackremen

Let's talk a little bit about what I am talking of then what was he talking 😂

How do i get this chess that i can draw arrows?

I really like your last but if advice.i started chess two months ago at the low elo of 350. I’ve finally hit 500 but days when i have losing streaks or just feel I’m doing bad I let it get to me and think there’s something wrong with me. I put too much emphasis on my rating when in reality I haven’t been playing long. I should just let it come naturally. I’m just a really competitive person and get things like sports really quickly and I feel I don’t understand chess at a natural talent level. I appreciate that advice. Thank you Mr. Gotham!

Gotham, so i was watching this video because a friend sent me it, and like after that i 1v1 him in chess 5 times, i basically won 3-4 times. i was 300 before, suddenly i'm playing like a 700-1000 player. thank you Gotham 🙏

I like your videos. Thanks for the support!

I was watching victor blaine now this guy arrived.

I traded a bishop and lost material but checkmated them, they had 9 material but bishop was protecting checkmate so their greedy mind took and got checkmated

Make shorter videos like 6-10 mins

Thank you for your thoughts at the end! That final mistake was something I greatly needed to hear as I experienced an immense amount of anger a few days ago, unlike anything I’ve ever felt before. I don’t attach myself to my elo score but I was starting to attach my self worth to the losses. And hearing your advice on how to handle it really made me feel like I’m not the only one to have gone through it.

I feel like he makes videos while wearing only boxers lol

The final mistake is what really held me back, until I stopped caring as much about my ELO, and now it's actually much higher than before.

As a beginner…er, still (right?) this was the ass-kick I needed. Thank you so much!

    Nice Shirt!

I would give you thumbs up emoji but i forgot how on computer :/
    Sorry! _(*-*)_/

Suddenly after watching this video, I have made a longest winning streak of 7

Bro's calling my average moves as mistakes 😅

Your point about Fake Training is so true. I've known for a while that I'm being kind of lazy with my learning, and this was a much welcome call out. Thanks!

There is an eighth mistake you forgot. The mistake is to claim that a person that does not know how to play chess actually can win a game of chess and consequently has a non-zero chess rating. Come on dude, get real. I see your picture and you don't look that stupid.

Me : i watched videos and then i play chess where a player continuously play his king and pawn only despite of this I can't checkmate even in last i remain 1 rook and pawn. And i loos by timeout 😂😂😂😂😂

1.Don't trade. Objection – I always blunder to knight forks and have no idea how to use knights myself, so I always trade them.
