I think this was an interesting concept, but the problem is Levy can't think like a 800. What does my opponent want at 800? He wants to move his pieces around in a way that to him seems dangerous or at least doesn't hang them and hope that eventually a mate in 1 emerges. That or trade everything and anything. My opponent is categorically not thinking about tempos, tactics, or strategy

trading queens in that way is not forced gotham…. you play Re7+ first. reason being if knight takes they lose the queen if kf8 now you trade queens and this way you win a tempo so you can take their pawn right at the start of the endgame making it much easier to win if kd8 its the same deal. essentially throwing in that check first just makes the endgame easier to play at worst and at best at that level they might even take it and lose. now mind you im only a 1950 in rapid so i could be wrong lol
