Hope you can bounce back Hikaru. Get that killer instinct. This is probably the best chance you will get in your life to claim the world chess champion title.

He literally doesn't even care about pronunciations like all Americans

bros making youtube videos in the middle of candidates πŸ˜‚

That was a rough game but everybody has off days. Major respect for playing in the highest level tournament and then giving a breakdown of each game after. Very impressive! Good luck in the tournament

Hikaru you should probably move those pieces from off their starter squares

poor performance is an effect of playing all the time and farming lower rated players, you cannot have both the content and later the quality where it matters

I'm still shocked that Bobby Lee plays chess!

You got the nuts man you are the greatest one in the game addressing our own mistakes is the sign of greatnessπŸ™Œ

Fair play for being so honest and open Hikaru – GL tomorrow.

Bro just thought let's have some fun and casually played a bongcloud AHAHAHHA

Can anyone explain to me why am i looking so many chess videos given that i haven't played chess in the last 35 years plus.

Look guys I am goint to be the odd one out. Even though i commend him for doing the video, i don't for one bit believe in his "I don't care attitude…I am a streamer first BS", I am a fan but I strongly believe that attitude is to mask his own insecurities of dealing with losing. He probably cares more about losing than the others. HOPE HIKARU bounces back like his always done in the past!

Hikaru you are a true sportsperson. Not many will smile like you after losing the game.

At least you didn't loose your sense of humour – I like your intention to bring all the pieces back to their original square πŸ˜‰

Unbearable to listen to, even when he lost. Thank you Vidit

Love this chess content. To see what Hikaru was considering along the way is epic.

keep up the moral, u said it all. U got this, champ

Hikaru man, don't play for the content mate, play for the WIN, this is your chance, TAKE IT!

In general im not a big Hikaru fan, but coming in the front of a camera and admitting the mistakes right off the bat is pretty honorable

It's fine champ, i still believe in your comeback.
When I saw the title yesterday my heart sank, and I skipped the video. It's now that I am coming back to it.

"im setting it up now so i dont waste time after the game"
    what a gigachad claim.

the shirt was a psychological misconcept. you may have confused caruana, but for vidit it was pure inspiration

    "I don't play en peasant" πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

tomorrow is another day.. Even though you are my fourth favourite to win, I want you to have some great fun!! Wish you a better day tomorrow!!

Sending my prayers for you Naka sensei! You gonna nail it!😊

You could still treat this like it's a speed run, but you're still playing 2700s!

    Just Vidit! (Vidit)
    Vidit! (Vidit)

No one wants to be defeated….

Nice video. Congrats on keeping your sense of humour

A spectacular object lesson on how to maintain a mature, constructive outlook after the sort of failures everyone has from time to time. As impressive in its own way as a spectacular win over the board, this is how you win the long game of life. πŸ’―

You can do it Hikaru. Get them out of their prep then they're in your territory.

    You are the best!

This guy has the right mindset! What a pro!!! Much love!

Even though it was your worse game, I still think it was an amazing game. You showed great defensive skills even though all odds were against you.

Long time since I watched a top player not develop his pieces.

Winning and losing is part of the game, we hope you will come back stronger

mad respect for your resilience and mental fortitude. you got this my goat, it’s only the second day

Subscribed becouse how someone said "Only strong men smile after defeat and tell where they went wrong", so true !! Respet !!

Really enjoyed your interview on Gotham Chess pre Candidates. I wish you well going forward. People would do well to watch how you carry yourself and emulate that.

good luck for the next match. I am rooting for you
