I think it's rather more likely that somebody touched the screen — either accidentally or on purpose — and then quickly improvised an alibi when Pia's voice started blaring out of the speakers. Because it would have had to have been a big bug!

You did the right thing in that situation. If he felt slighted for the rest of the game, then that’s his problem because you immediately covered your ears and directed your attention at him. Don’t feel bad, be excited that you won!!
