Cool story, but… But there are streamers you MUST watch, I mean basicaly it is absolutely nessesary to watch them, literally you must do it, watching some streamers, that is what I really mean, some of them are must watch.

Catching a smart cheater is impossible. It's not like with gaming, there is no extra software installed. I imagine you can even have stock fish on completely different computer with vpn SIM card network and stuff, so not even the same IP. One pc will be showing in NY and other in Uganda. If you only choose one move in a few to go top engine move, you will never be caught. Because people do play top engine moves just because they're good players.

17% score doesn't mean that an underdog would win 1/6 of the games. Maybe it's 26% for a draw and 4% for a win, and the result is 0.04×1 + 0.26×0.5 = 0.17.
You are wrong about what it means that the upset rate OTB is higher. You say this means that there is less cheating.
Actually, from a purely logical standpoint this means that those who cheat online do so consistently and have higher ratings – and better chances to defend those ratings because they, well, cheat.
It is so darn absurd to make any other conclusion but this. How do chess players and youtubers fail to observe this trivial thing?

When I was 1180 I beat a 1750 in classical… People often "play down" when there is a big difference. They look at a position and think, "Well, he's not strong enough to punish me so I can just do this easy thing and then win and go to lunch" and instead they lose because I'm trying my very best.
The problem is that 'underdog rating' is a completely arbitrary metric though. It technically doesn't mean anything. You would have to take into account people their peak and distance to their peak or potential future peak. Plus indeed the amount of blitz games that are FIDE rated. And these really can't compared to thousands of games played online.

You are assuming that lower players cheat more. The case could be reversed GOD players cheat more because everyone expect good accuracy on them
Cheating is not exclusive to the lower rated player.

While there's definitely a problem of cheating in online chess, the paranaoia surrounding the issue is prbly several times bigger than the problem itself, especially at the top level.
If underdog success rate is lower online than offline, then it may mean there is cheating among higher rated players online or that higher rated players cheat more often than lower rated players…

I dislike cheaters. I would like if all people, they play games without cheating that would be great but unreal I think. I really like chess but I have a time periode where I quit it for a long periode. So I played again because I really like the content from GothamChess and study what I not wanna do in the last past years. By the way is it a camera on the wall over your head in a hotel room? I hope my comment is not to aggressiv – I would write it noraml but my gramma is a little bit underdog like I am from germany. Thanks for the conclusion/inferderence of this topic.
