I have played chess on Turkish Airlines during my travel.
First of all, I am really bad at chess, my main experience comes from school chess club.
Not only airplane bots were weak (I've beaten it without much trouble on all difficulty levels) but they also seem to have deterministic algorithm, which makes it very easy to tunnel them into very specific strategies.
I have also discovered few glitches where chess game would either hang or crash if specific position is achieved or specific move is made.
Being a software engineer I ended up "playtesting chess app" instead of "playing chess" 🤣

When I was a kid, I had this electronic toy, that was basically a physical chess board, and then a little display, and a few buttons, and it was kind of a kids' chess computer. You could set the difficulty I think on a scale of 1-10. And I remember that I could no longer beat the machine after level, like 3, I think. BUT. On higher levels, it would take longer to figure out a move, because it wasn't a real computer, but just a kids' toy. And in order to keep a kid's attention, it had a "make a move NOW" button, which would just interrupt it's thinking and make the best move it had come up with so far. And I remember when I figured that out, and "beat" the machine on highest difficulty level, but always pushing the "move now" button after like a second. Haha. It would be cool if you could find some sort of electronic kid's chessboard like that and play that.
