Is FIDE even talking to Ding? Does FIDE have psychologists on their payroll, do they take mental health seriously? Ding seems to be burning up inside, so much so he cannot even think about chess while playing a massive tournament. He's not well, something should be done to help him. I'd hate for something to happen to him.

Nah honestly people gotta realise that when you go through a bad run of form with so much pressure it’s inevitable for you to keep getting worse unless you take a break or reset yourself. A key example is when football goalkeepers are changed due to making silly mistakes multiple times since the pressure and stress of it happening again causes them to perform worse
Here we see Ding in the exact same cycle and forget the championship it was the pressure of his return and then that first poor performance that starting the slump so honestly I pray Ding resets cause he is a great player
Idk why Ding Liren keeps going to these competitions while he’s obviously not interested. I don’t believe he should be world champion. But there’s no way he’s this bad that he can’t see the Queen sacrifice. I refuse to believe it. I’m more inclined to believe he doesn’t even want to play at all and is phoning these games in. I think at every move, the arbiters should be keeping track of whether the position has happened 3 or more times so that when someone makes a claim, they can instantly confirm or deny it. When they go in their corner and take so long to confirm, I think its unfair to the person that made the claim

This shows that chess is so much more than just move pieces with 100% accuracy. It's a mental thing, and Magnus is the 🐐 for me, being so stable for so long must take a hell of a lot, unless it comes natural for him 😀
