You should explain to ChatGPT why it is a bad move when it blunders like at 12:37 and also point out when it makes some mistake in its reasoning for a move. Its a conversational AI, it would learn better if you converse with it

should copy and paste the pgn and tell chatgpt to analize this pgn and to make a new move to it when it starts making illegal moves so that itll analize the current message rather that past messages, since its memory isnt perfect, it handles the current message much better than remembering past messages

Hey Hikaru. As I understand it ChatGPT doesn't know how to play chess but is learning every time it plays against you and you give it instructions. This means it will get better over time the more information we give it. Can't we upload a "Chess for dummies" handbook for it to read through and understand the chess basics more, then let it learn more advanced tactics etc. Maybe it will start playing better. Love your videos. Keep well.
Apparently, you can also avoid that Chatgpt answers with all the explanations. One can type something like "give back the move and no other words added" in this way there is no problem of losing time in generating all those big messages, especially in the endgame
Version 4 is on its way, maybe it is a bit better at chess.

When I asked ChatGPT for advice on the English opening, and it told me it started with 1. d4, I knew we should be a bit skeptical of it's advice. When I then asked it if the English was d4 or c4, it said c4.

How has chatcgp got so much hype when it can barely follow a chess game?
I did this with the new Bing chat and it's really good. You have to tell him play like a very good GM and also tell him just give me the moves without commentary. He actually draws me a board too sometimes! These bots are like channels You tell them what to channel and they will. I even told him talk like somebody I knew and it actually did. Whenever you see it didn't work just say imagine playing with me… Also with Bing there is no such limit you just have a limit of messages in every conversation then to continue the game just copy the last moves and the first message and say continue this game.
