The problem with ChatGPT is its memory is dependant on the whole thread so you just have to ask it to skip the explanation, and only repost the moves list every 10 sets of moves.
EDIT: you can also pay for ChatGPT Plus, with that you will be playing against GPT-4, which should be significantly smarter, and has a much much larger memory. you can let that one chatter along as you play.

What is hilarious about this video is that in some period of time Chat GPT could be the number one chess training tool. The detailed explanations of moves and strategies will make learning way better

You can just click the edit button and then regenerate any time you get that error. You can also reload the conversation and continue just by refreshing.
Also, go ahead and have a conversation with ChatGPT and tell it what you want it to do (for instance you could tell it that it doesn’t have to list all the moves each time.)
And finally.. if you pay $20 bucks for GPT Plus it goes way faster, with no downtime and you get access to GPT 4 which more advanced.

I asked ChatGPT to give me lines in the Nimzo Larsen Attack (something I thought it might struggle to explain if I poked an prodded a bit). The good: it new that 1. b3 was called the Nimzo-Larsen attack. It also gave a few normal move 1s for black.
The bad: It gave some suspect moves for white on move 2 (they would be side lines… at best, like 2. d3).
The ugly: it told me that black plays 1. e5 to put pressure on white's b3 pawn. Can the youtube masters explain how that one works? Because… I'm pretty sure literally nothing about that puts any pressure on anything remotely close to b3… ChatGPT still has a serious issue understanding when it might be wrong and sounds overly confident in being wrong.
Hikaru should probably get a subscription for Chat GPT. Haven't looked into it but I think he'd get unlimited prompts and faster access. The price is peanuts for him.
Hikaru did you like tell the engine "play a game based on magnus carlsens games" or something like that? maybe it would analyze the game a bit better

You should pay for gpt plus, and play against the new GPT-4 model. There is no limit, and gpt4 seems quite a bit better at chess in my testing
