its like watching yugioh lol get dialog for every card played haha
youve got to learn how to phrase the initial input better so it doesn't repeat the entire board everytime. Also you can have it replicate the skill of stockfish for example by adding this to the intro. Ive been using chat gp since the beta to do my college homework so just my experience. Hope you read this and it helps. Theres a menu on the site to look up intro examples to help also if this didn't make sense.

I've been able to get ChatGPT to play about 30 moves before it starts to devolve, you have to mess with the prompt to get it to pay more attention to the moves.
Hikaru accidentally entered move "10." twice, once for a3 and once for f3. This might have messed up the model's play in the endgame, but I'm not sure.

Also, as GPT uses different answers to the same response, one answer to ask to play chess is actually very rare with after every move it shows position and you can choose black or white.
is it just me or does anyone else have a full legal move game against chatgpt (it played like 10k illegal moves but after like alot of time it played a legal move)

(Hypothesis) I think Chat GPT said it was a trade of knights since it did not register the Nxd4 as capture, and then when he captured the bishop, it might have thought the capture happened.
