Ouroboros King Part 1 – an incredibly well-made chess roguelike that takes the best parts of chess and improves them with unique pieces and upgrades. There’s been a lot of good chess-likes lately, and I’m here for it!

Huh. Seems like another actually fun chess game. I didn't know that such a thing could exist, but now between this and SG King, you've shown that not one but at least two exist, maybe more. Fascinating.

This game looks amazing maybe just a little more polishing but the gameplay is fantastic
17:30 This was a much better fork than you thought it was, because if Black moves Andromeda, your Fool immediately takes the black General. The Fool seems hard to use, but it seems like it can sort of "pin" very powerful pieces from anywhere on the board, by being that move away from the enemy General.

Holy crap, Chess 2 finally came out!
This game would be very different if captured pieces are gone forever, but got new pieces more easily — then you'd have to think more carefully about what you'd be willing to sacrifice, and what you keep to be upgraded more.

Idk if its in computer but i remember a mobile game called chesscraft where you can make custom pieces and boards and it also has a story mode that has some interesting boards and pieces, if its in PC you should 100% check it out

I love that the final match was hyped up with "look, all the pieces that were giving me troubles are on the board at once!" Then an immediate sweep, it really shows how powerful his deck ended up!
I can’t wait for this. I hope this becomes a steady series once the game releases!
