Ouroboros King Part 1 – an incredibly well-made chess roguelike that takes the best parts of chess and improves them with unique pieces and upgrades. There’s been a lot of good chess-likes lately, and I’m here for it!

In the really long game why did you not just take the king with your double opening move? Surely that wins you the game before your opponent even gets a move.

I think the way in which this is useful is it lets you strategically get rid of certain pieces that are blocking some of your pieces paths

17:30 it couldnt move andromida since your jester would then be able to take his king, so the AI couldnt do much other than break the 'pin'
