“International chess federation” sounds like a country with a dictatorship
7:18 No mention of Paul Morphy? Lame
“He will squeeze water out of stone” is a banger of a line to describe Magnus, holy moly.
Levy: "chess openings are named after people or places"
Hikaru: "bongcloud lul"
I'm like 12 year old that guy, chess is too hard.
Amazing
bongcloud opening is the best
5:15
"people have had vibrating device in their shoe or elsewhere" had me dying laughing.
2:09 I really like what he said there
Lol Contrapoints asked a question. Meanwhile she has millions of subs
Schachmatt is also german for checkmate
WE USE ŞAH MAT IN TURKISH BTW
The questions with the Mate in two went like so: I just wartend to Look for the Checkmate and he in exact 1 second: „I found it“
Oh hey contrapoints
In Philippines, the Knight is actually called a horse by casual people.
Wow I'm haing fun with this video. "Knight" and not "horse" because the knight, RIDING the horse, controls the horse. There are chess sets where the knights are carved or formed into knights with visors as opposed to looking like horses.
As to the Shakhmat question: "Mat" in Persian, as well as in modern Hebrew and Arabic means dead or died. The King is Dead.
Omg I do Pawn to F3 every time, I thought I was being smart..
vibrating device in shoe or elsewhere….we know what youre talking about gotham…
Is it better to castle on the king side or on the queen side?
Are there more overall chess positions on a board than a tunic cube!
in Romania we say shāh mat or idk how to write it
In czech language we really call knight a horse and bishop is an archer or shooter 😉
Oh man contrapoints jumpscare
Always thought Ron was the chess guy, but Harry here seems to know a thing or two.
When he said “shoe or elsewhere” while giggling he giggled because some one put it up his no no zone 🍑🍑🍑 in a serious tournament and got caught…
In Hungarian the knite is called horse wich is Ló and i was taught that it steps in an l shape because of the first letter of the word
Didn't expect to see Contrapoints in this.
theoretically the worse possible move in chess is to start playing
i want to meet the guy the bongcloud defense was named after
and he sacrificies…. THE ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKK
OMG contrapoints hiiii
How do you cheat at chess?
GC: "You use external help or a computer"
Me, an intellectual: hah eats opponent's pieces when they're not looking
I have a friend that we say is so bad we don’t know how to counter him but I think that he has some magic ability to make us stupid (or maybe it is too noisy in the lunchroom
The shah mat is in arabic means the king is dead
And in romania we say ,,Sah Mat":))
Chess noob
I wish I was good at chess!
aint no way
This guy looks like a Levy Rosman
2:52 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
2:50 couldnt i just say "LOOK OVER THERE ITS A CAR CRASH!!!!" then rearrange the opponents pieces
frick castling somebody explain en passant
I played chess once and I beat my mom.
Or elsewhere….
mat is also a way of saying (died, dead)
«or elsewhere…» as in the infamous niemann affaire… checkmate!
مات means dead in arabic
not sure if its the same in persian but if it is then the meaning of checkmate would be
"the king has died"
