"Vibrating devices in their shoes… or elsewhere" [nervous laugh]

So many wrong answeres here. Caro kann the best opening… what? Dont get me wrong i love the opening and play it all the time. Best opening though? Not so much

This guy is really good, he should start his own youtube channel.

I dont really play chess but stoked that I solved the two puzzles. Second one took me a while

Does anyone have any tips to get a higher Elo rating I'm currently under 200 but I've beat some of the advanced bots and I have played and have drawn with adults (I'm 14) but I still can't win against most of the players I play against and I even defend everything properly

Check Support would've been way better

Look at gothemchess blowing up Lex pod wired good stuff my guy 👍

"Vibrating devices in the shoe or elsewhere" … lol

When i saw the thumbnail i thought this dude is a geek but hes pretty chill

"in their shoe or elsewhere" if you know you know LMAO

I thought "mat" meant "dead". I once read the Persian expression is "Shah mata" which allegedly means "the King is dead'. Now while I don't know Persian, "mata" is or could be basically the same word as "mrta" ('dead') in Sanskrit, a closely related language. Vocalic r becomes a (or some other full vowel) in a lot of languages.

Ah but the bongcloud is not a place or a person. Checkmate.

Just popping in to say that face in the thumbnail is the most shootable thing in existence.

Well l never knew that the word checkmate is an Arabic phrase the “check” means the king and the “mate” means that he died

Mat is an Arabic word meaning died. Check mate = King died.

Morphy is the best player of all time. Everyone now stands on the shoulders of giants, Morphy stood by himself.

4:10 bro that's literally me lol, I quit chess about 2 years ago (I was 12) and now I came back with the caro-kann

I’m a 500, can someone give me mental help?

Do people say this guy looks like Harry Potter?

This is how my younger me thought Harry Potter would have become

Mat (مات) in Persian means stares, and metaphorically, it indicates the inability situation. So shahmat means that the king has nothing to do.

Whole video I was waiting for him to somewhere include "sacrifice…… THEEEEEE ROOOOOOOKKKKK"

Whoa … so this is where daniel radcliffe ended up.

Magnus: i will sacrifice my queen, you can't take or your demise comes quicker, you can't ignore the threat because i still will bring your demise

"Shakh Mat" doesn't mean the king is trapped, it means the king is dead. Also the Arabic here @0:34 is written completely backwards lol.

so funny that the youtuber Contrapoints asked a question but he clearly doesn't know who she is

BRO ty, u just made my old years day! gonna take a chess board and look up chess problems as a drinking game. Man I forgot about chess, love this game! thanks!

A vibrating device you say? Sounds familiar.

It's not called a horse because Knights, contrary to popular belief, were actually heavy cavalry units, not infantry. They fought primarily on horseback, unless forced to dismount.
As time went on though, they began dismounting before battle.

Fun fact: in Germany you say to checkmate: Schach matt and it is pronounced exactly as he said it.

    Schach means chess

    Checkmate(کیش و ماه)
    Mate -mat(مات-ماتم زده)
    Is reference of shocked
