ELO is crap
Persian or Farsi.. Iran has crazy history that’s why the west want it. With all the rest
9:55 in some languages like serbian or italian it's called horse when i started playing chess again in january 2023 i really didn't understand why it was called knight because all the other times i played were either at school or against my dad i alwys spoke italian or serbian
Levy speaks for himself
In Croatia we also say šah mat
I have rarely in my life seen someone answers questions so clearly and directly. I don't believe there is a better way to answer these questions.
Very articulate man
Bro really isn’t bringing up Hikaru for the worlds best when he is the worlds best. Even Magnus admits it
You can't castle if your king is under attack right? How about if it is the rook?
(شاه مات) checkmate
Means in arabic the sheick died
13:55 We can do a mate in just one move right by moving the queen F4
Bad video we didn’t get a stare at the beginning
3:00 personally I think it is tipping over your king
Not that one person that doesn't know chess but watch this because it's WIRED💀💀
Holy crap me just realising that contrapoints AKA Natalie Wynn asked a chess question that was answered.
@7:23 Praggnanandhaa has left the chat XD
Keying Gary Kasprov’s car pre-match.
If both sides have 4 pawns in an endgame that promote to a knight bishop queen and rook than is it still an endgame
Love this! So eloquently explained.
its been over a month and hikaru is dominating over magnus xD
Emory tate is best
or yo can cheat by doing illegal moves
Im glad Harry Potter got past his childhood trauma.
Lets go Levy!!!! Guess the elo series rock!
wait, we say szach mat in polish
Fun fact: Shah is usually head of the village or a king, while "mat" translates to died, so checkmate means "your king is dead"
😐🤔🃏
#chess
🕵♂️🕵♀️🕵🌪🌪🌪🕵♂️🕵♀️🕵
I would love to know if there’s ever a reason to promote a pawn to anything other than a queen
I once beat a girl in 2 moves foolsmate, right?
Mat means dead.
Its in arapic so i know
2:23 CMON LEVY! Just answer: "I'm not going to answer that :)"
Vibrating object in shoes or ELSEWHERE.
shah means chess
"Or vibrating devices in their shoe or elsewhere."
If you know, you know.
first question's asnwer is kinda wrong : its " cheh met " , means the sheep is dead , cheh = sheep , met = dead
4:20 CONTRAPOINTS?!?!? I love it
shah means the "shah" king and "mat" means died
This guy should play chess
shakmat could possibly mean 'defeat-death' as defeat in Persian is 'shakast' and death is 'marg' so could be- tho idk my dad speaks persian n i asked him to translate the possible meaning, tho what i can tell ya for sure is that king in persian is 'padshah'.
also checkmate in persian is 'maat' which literally means defeat. great video tho <3
12:51 if the queen moves back to f4… isn't that instant checkmate in 1…?
we actually call knight horse "at" like it should be
We say shah mat in Poland too
Checkmate means your king is dead
12:55 Mate in 1 –> Qf4
Well I guess the Botez gambit is up there…
13:25 sarcifices….THE ROOOOOOOOK
I imagine YT@ContraPoints dominating at chessboxing.
Something something Daniel Radcliffe.
isnt it strange to see levy doing an intro without staring into the camera
i love how he goes "yeah, i solved it" so confidently lmao
