Checkmate translates to “sah mat” sah meaning “king”, mat meaning “dead” which basically means “the king is dead”.
My first defense was caro-kann, with 7 years old 🙂
Well technically when levy says that there are only 20 starting moves it’s actually 22 because of the 2 knights..
15:20 and he sacrificed THE ROOOOK
Persian here:
Shah Mat is written backwards in the tweet text
The actual writing is
شاه مات
I love nights beocuse it's the easiest to use to take the queen
shah mat is king died
7:19 What about Anatoly Karpov? 😔
Учи русский чтобы понимать и говорить.
3:00 Levi goes back to being Levi. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Gary, Magnus, and Bobby are all amazing chess players, but you can't really say that Hikaru just isn't going to be up there eventually
I saw a mike Boyd video that people cheat with vibrators
Tal is the best!!!!
Is there a name for an opening where both players move their knight towards the center and next move just move it back?
A bishop can control more squares but a knight's offensive/defensive capability can be seemingly impossible to counter at times.
Only another knight can move like a knight.
9:55 the Knight, in italian language, is called Cavallo, that means horse
0:17 Shah mah (the king is ????ed)
The Knight is called a Springer in German it means "Jumper" and makes much more sense imo than Knight.
Knight is too op
15:25 the caption is wrong
Wanted to hear him sacrifice THE ROOOOOK
Well, in Brazil we actually call the knights "horses" and we also call the rooks "towers"
How to make chess infinitely fascinating
"Szach, mat" is the word for checkmate in Polish. It sounds the same as Persian one
Bro was feeling himself in the intro 😭😭
I can't believe this is the same Levi that stares me to death in his videos….
Gothaaaaaaaaaam 🎉🎊😄
Rarest move is Magnus lose by en passon check
Let's do Pawn F3 opening challenge for TikTok.
13:31 "And he sacrifices the ROOK!!!1!1!!"
2:17
3:16 actually sodium opening, knight to h3 would probably actually be worse
Well On serbian, When somebody gives you a checkmate, you say "šahmat" soo… The word "šah" means chess, while "mat" means matte, So, its actually a Serbian word
in my language knight calls horse "at" , in turkish

Chess imo is the greatest game of all time. It's crazy how something invented hundreds of years ago is 1) Unsolvable by humans, and computers for now 2) Creates unlimited unique games and possibilities for each game, and 3) is very balanced between the pieces and rules
The king is the most powerful, hence the game stop if you capture the king, the game doesn't stop if you capture the queen.
12:30 and he sacrifices the ROOOOOOOOOOOKE
shah mat …..the king is dead
Why do I feel like in the entire video he wanted to swear so bad.
The vibrating devise in their shoe or elsewhere killed me
Possible I did a thing lover
Odd that he didn't mention that castling historically wasn't always a recognized legal move. It's relatively new to the game as an international standard, though we are approaching the time when it's been around for half the lifetime of what could be called modern chess despite the lack of a consistent rule set across the globe until just the past couple of centuries. There were a lot of variations to it that weren't standardized until "recent" times.
mat means died
A vibrating thing in your shoe or "elsewhere", lmao
My favorite opening defense is probably actually really stupid? Pterodactyl Defense, Ramphorynchus Variation. I have nothing to support it as a good idea, but I love the name.
Why king needs to be protected when the queen is the most powerfull?
Arab here, māt means died. Idk if it means the same in Persian but makes sense to us
I don't know .. I've never heard of a game called "General" ..
مات . Shahmat means "the king is dead." actually means "dead
we do call knights "horses" here👀
