So… what im seeing is that black is better πŸ‘€

God damn it, watching your intros is making me cringe. But it gets less cringe, which means you might get better at it… or I am getting used to it. Anyway, good job.

it's not coffee you're drinking Hikaru
    it's crack water
Jason Voorhees swapped your coffee with
    crack water

Anyone else feel like part of Hikaru's calculation was losing the first game against Fabi so he could face off with Magnus and then come back and beat Fabi in the end

I've been waiting for this video. I thought your match against fabi was amazing. I was watching on twitch cheering u on!

The elo bar is the most overrated thing in chess.

11:30pm last night I was in bed scrolling about to go to bed, stumbled across the fact that the chess grand final was on at 1am. Decided to stay up for it, have never seen a chess tournament live let alone the grand final. Glad I stayed awake for it. Congratulations!

It's been an honour to watch Hikaru this last 3 or 4 years. How he managed to find that extra 1 or 2% with his change in mindset.

At first when I heard him say he doesn't care, I thought that meant he was giving up on winning these big tournaments, but look at him now. Clearly this "I don't care" attitude is helping him play his best chess.

Winning big tournaments and beating the very best players to do so.

Thanks for sharing this all with us Mr Nakamura!

how is this hikaru guy a professional player? he is always blundering….

u had a extremely lucky win against magnus…. what do u mean epic?

How the hell am I able to watch the whole match

The Monarchs? 😊 Did the monarchs get an invite to King Charles' coronation?

    Congrats!!!
It was a nice tournament to watch!!

As we know from the famous world chess champion Garry Kasparov "A knight on F5 is worth at least a pawn"

It's almost impossible to beat Hikaru. Wesley and Fabi kept making genius moves one after another but Hikaru was still alive, until they make a wrong move and Hikaru turns the table

Well H you did it again, loved it
    Congrats
I think right now you are the top gun slinger
    Amazing the ups and downs,
    Never wracking to watch
In crunch time you have steel balls

David is ny favorite Color Chess commentator
    Love Classical
    Love Rapid more

Hikaru Out here destroying SUPER GMs and calls his every move horrible . We have no hope

Hikaru, I don't play chess, but I love it thanks to you. I know some peeps say you are arrogant. I disagree. You are a great human, I wish you, your friends, and your family all the best. Don't get the tournaments stress and future losses destroy your new cool world you have built around streaming. Wishing you the best from Czech Republic πŸ‡¨πŸ‡Ώ

12:30 lmao that's exactly what Garry Kasparov said. "Knight on f5 is worth a pawn". πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

30K bananas is no joke! Good content, very happy for you!

Not bad for a streamer who literally don't even care

Those games were spectacular, like a boxing fight. As you said in the interview, it's more than just playing the moves, it's also about Game theory, time management, even mouse control matters when low on time.

Getting another win and making a Response Title to GothamChess' recent vid.

You should have made a separate video for the Smith Mora gambit

Hikaru haters losing their minds now 🀑

    27:49 THERE IS A CHECKMATE. Be3, Pd4, Bg5, P takes on g5, Checkmate on h3
King cannot go on g8 because of the bishop, and Caruana can sacriface the knight but it is anyway CHECKMATEπŸ₯³

    Congrats Hikaru!!! ❀❀❀😎

Superb walk through because it is done so fast and clearly on top of great play πŸ‘

Congrats i knew you were going to win i watch all the matches

    hikaru is the best πŸ’ͺπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Hikaru proved that he is a better player than Fabi.
After previously losing to him he came roaring back when it really mattered by the circuitous route of a victory over the world champion!
