I was watching the fourth game but I fell asleep because it's 1 AM in my country lol

    Congratulations hikaru for winning
I was watching it at 2 am in mid night but your performance worth and i loved to watch you winning even after reset

Well played 👏👏 and continue it at world championship tour

11:40 imagine being able to look at this and have the confidence to say it's an epic blunder and close to being lost for black lol

Hikaru, thank you so much for breaking these games down like this. It is so instructive to hear you say sometimes that you panicked, or didn't really know how to capitalize on your opponent's mistake. I sometimes feel that I could never be successful in chess if I can't always know the right move to make. (Maybe I spent too much time watching Magnus's games? LOL) But hearing you say that you get a bit flustered in these big games really helps build my own confidence. Thanks for breaking this down, and showing how you can recover games even when you are starting to get afraid and thinking you are losing. Very helpful!

Hikaru is clear 2nd best player in the world now. Only tiny microscopic gap with MC

Congratulations I say that with much love and respect I think someday everyone will appreciate all the hard work u do and all the time u have spent being legendary thank u

if anyone else here that is like a 400-600 elo that just watches the game and doesn't much listen to what Hikaru is saying, say I

I was watching the games on Twitch, when you played Qxb7 in the second game of the final match, all the commentators were at a loss for words. Did you think it was remotely playable? It looked suicidal.

Magnus made a misclick with a Queen. No big deal.

Magnus and Hikaru are on another level especially in faster time control.

this man is focused, on what nobody knows.

at 43:30 mark you moved your queen to take b7. You admit it was not a good move. But i am really confused on this. Wouldnt you want to keep that side locked down and prevent any way from it opening up in general? Taking this seems like a huge fundamental error even at my low skill level. I would not want any way for any rook files to open up at all. Tactically speaking this is a no no isnt it?

Hikaru completed his hero redemption arc by going down to the loser's bracket, winning against Magnus and coming back to life to face Fabiano again and beat him. Congratulations! Well deserved victory.

4:11 sir master dr mr. Hikaru Nakamura. Deez knights are certainly hanging…

Why every chess content creator stare at camera for few seconds in the starting 😂

Ur a beast Hikaru, great to see a win well deserved

Okay I had to stop at the 2 minute mark and comment

    GucciReza Firouzja is hilarious hahahah

Now everyone's going to learn the Smith Morra 😆

The commentators were freaking out about Qxb7 in the second to last game. That move was kind of an insane throw

45:34 I love the quote. Thanks, Hikaru, for sharing. Congrats in your win. Best wishes fron Argentina

Great job! I was watching while working. It looked like you were playing sharper/more attacking lines than your usual streams which from the number of times you just said it was scary it sounded like it. I think all the commentators want to date Fabbi. 😂

Did anyone else observe that the title is a clever reference to Gothamchess's latest video?

I like how he is just used to saying deez knights now

Is impressive how the human factor make chess more fun, when you play with a 2400 bot one blunder and you are done.

I love watching these breakdowns no matter how long they are. I really enjoy all of the additional lines you explain and why you don't choose them.

Congrats on victory but I can't get your final game against magnus out of my head…you deserve everything you got. Well done and keep inspiring!

Hikaru is such a YouTuber! The guest appearances by the chess players and the plot line where he loses so he can defeat the world champion and then come back to win the match was brilliant but totally unbelievable. It was almost like Rocky 1 & 2. Great content though.

Wen you blunder, correct yourself as quick as possible, try to recover from your mistakes! Nothing like adrenaline rush, love this game! You did fantastic bro, Shalom ani!

The Naka themed chess set n board = my brain is a quantum computer

I don't understand chess tactics, but the explanations given on that Game 1, made me follow a little bit what is going on which I struggle to do when other people talk about their games. Good.

I hope people are still calling it The Botez Gambit in hundreds of years.

The first 2 seconds in every recap are so hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂
