No joke, but I've played a desperado so many times without knowing, so thanks Levy!!

You should tell whether it's white of black to move, because I thought it was black to move, and didn't even get a chance to solve the puzzle.Call me dumb, call me all sorts of things, but a little heads up would be worth it for other videos.

In the last clip, can someone please explain to me why you NEED to sacrifice ur own queen when theres no dangers into just taking the black queen?, why be up a bishop when u can be up a queen?

But I also lost my queen so I am only 3 points up but if I took the free queen I would be 9 points up

I'm spanish and I can proove "desperado" is not a word. Desperate = desESperado

so the pilot in 2001, new york did some kind of desperado

Me being dumb thinking I am playing black trying to find a desperado

I’ve realized how much better I’ve become at chess thanks to him when I noticed that at the end, you win the pawn if black takes the horse with pawn instead of bishop because of en passant in the second example

At the end I was thinking you could move the White queen to F3 to guard the Rook and threaten the Black queen from two ways.

I thought I was supposed to be playing black on the last board. Whoops.

Who was thinking he gonna say The roooooooooook

Remember Desperado like in example 2 only works if their knight can't attack a piece either, otherwise it's double Desperado.

The entire time I was trying to solve this I was looking from blacks perspective 😅. I'm not good at chess at all 😂.

That moment when the short doesnt load, and all you see is levy looking at you saying, do you ever feel

Somehow my knight always ends up in that very same dilemma 🙈

Me who thought you were playing as black: 😬😬

Last 2 examples are not desperado, but zwischenzug. Both Knight and Queen has moves to save them from the attack. Desperado occurs when the attacked piece is trapped.

that's like when sometimes you can't defend a piece or get it out of danger, so you just attack somewhere else. if he takes your piece, you take with your attack too.
basically: a move can be made worth either by sacrificing less, or by gaining more.

"And u win the game" i dont think i win if i was playing lol😂

I don’t get it. Why can’t u just take the queen first anyways?

    And he sacrifices…… The QUEEN!!!!!

That last one was totally stupid. Dude sacked his queen for a bishop, instead of taking the queen for free

Why would I need to sacrifice the queen? Just why?

What is it called when every move is desperado? 😢 ♟️

I thought i playing black and thought "lol so easy". U play dirty noble gm

I refuse to believe that’s an actual position in the third example

I called him "the kamikaze"Yo le llamaba "el kamikaze "

But there is no way i could lose even after having a Queen a Bishop and a rook and a couple of pawns and my opponent had a Bishop and a Rook and one less pawn

I actually never think about that…. Thats good for my 700 elo ass

Memories brokenThe truth goes unspokenI've even forgotten my nameI don't know the seasonOr what is the reasonI'm standing here holding my blade?A desolate placeWithout any traceIt's the only cold wind that I feelIt's me that I spite upAs I stand up and fightThe only thing I know for realThere will be Blood-ShedThe man in mirror nodes his headThere only One-LeftWill drive upon the dragons backBecause the mountains don't give back what they takeThere will be Blood-ShedIt's the only thing I've ever known

wait a minute why would u sac ur queen when u can just win the opponents queen for free

In the last one, isn't it preferred to keep the queen? You just traded 9 points for 3, since you were going to win the opponent's queen regardless, that wasn't a desperado, that was stupidity
