Make games shorter and add game play underneath

Congratulations to Nepo for his perseverance and commitment 💪 💪

I am actually glad that we have Ian vs Ding match. Ian vs Magnus would be 100% draws or Ian blundering… This will be more fun… Magnus vs Fabi was 100% draws, it was just

Danya and Anish are literally the best commentators, to someone who is an amateur they still manage to explains things in a way that is palatable

Do they both have diarrhea? Why do they keep leaving?

Anish didn't know what "flimsy" meant so Danya described it as "onomatopoeic". I'm sure that illuminated things for him lol

Why did they keep saying that "Jan does not feel at home" in this or that position? He's a grandmaster! Can't he just ADAPT to what's on the board?!

I’ve seen numerous comments asking why FIDE hasn’t provided Ding with a translator? My question is “where’s the Chinese government?” You telling me they couldn’t provide one? They couldn’t afford one? Ding is the strongest player in Chinese history, has the government provided any support? Ding looks lost & frankly scared, but both players have had about a year to prepare, to get in the best physical & mental shape possible. I would think China would pull out all the stops to help Ding win. This would be a great propaganda opportunity for China. And yet Ding looks all alone. They would care about his success…wouldn’t they?

28.10 so funny how both include witty comments about 80s music without knowing a single 80s band, ❤ the vibe of this comment team!

The evaluation bar should have two lines, one showing the best move and a second to show the next best move rating. This let's us know if any position can survive a single inaccurate choice.

I have a feeling Ding played the very line Rapport told him NOT to play.

I do not know why everyone on chat hates nepo, he is a good guy, why they hate him?

    SACRIFICING THE ROOOOOOOOK………………WORKS EVERY TIME😂😂😂❤❤

Ian let’s his emotions out and makes them visible shows how much heart he’s putting into every move it’s a true winners attitude. It doesn’t matter how you appear it matters how you preform

My favourite part is Yan choosing the same chair as Bobby Fischer

I love how a top guy can do a move that is not part of opening study, and everybody flips out.

Danny just proved that he could commentate the storied USGA Masters Tournament after that smooth intro. You’re good at what you do Danny, very good.

they spend too much time in the rest rooms!

Danya and Anish are literally the best commentators, to someone who is an amateur they still manage to explains things in a way that is palatable

    2:32:08 – “a well timed prophylactic move”…ummm….prolific? @gmnaroditsky 😂

Amazing how fast Ding’s position crumbled after Nxf6

I like the chair selections, lots of back support

Let's be real. This is not match for the world champion. Anymore than Timman v Karpov was when Kasparov formed the PCA. The best player in the world is Magnus Carlsen. This is a match for the number two spot.

"A strong memory, concentration, imagination and strong will are required to become a great chess player." ~ Bobby Fisher

    4. h3 is Stockfish's 4th top choice after depth 50 calculation (with 0.0 eval).

27:22 Nepo's reaction is priceless lol he was happy it would be a tactical game

Classy play by Ian, this could be an insanely interesting match overall

I noted in my recap video that not all novelties are created equal… 4.h3 gets an epic fail.

Ding lacks grit, he needs some free weights training and octagon time

Pls let Ding win this championship. I am saying this even tho I was rooting for Ian before start of championship. If Ding loses this, then he'll just be too depressed to do anything in life

Naroditsky and Giri make for an amazing commentating team. Love the way they're low key complimenting each other feels like bromance
