One of the most exciting matches I've seen in FIDE WC yet!

Let's be honest here.. A lot of beginner chess players will be estatic about this game since Ding played probably the most seen beginner opening in chess.. The London System……

I was hoping for a exciting match and I hot it. So many decisive games, wow I love this Championship especially the press conference at the end was hilarious!

Don't worry guys, this match gonna be very exciting. These two still have lots of blunders in their pockets😂

What a game! So dramatic and suspenseful

Ding won score 3-3 what a roller coaster!

Ians smile when he resigned was so forced

Anish Giri would always take a draw😢😂

Reminds me bit of thw Spassky-Fischer Game-6 scene in movie Pawn Sacrifice where Spassky smiles and gives a standing ovation

Ding pulled himself together, now the match will go according to a different scenario 👍

you would show your faces less and more board 😠

2 pawns at d5 and h5 are unbelievable, incredible setup from Ding

4:17:00 Ding's immortal? What do you guys think. Nobody saw that mate 7 moves in advance except Ding. Not Ian. Not Anish. Not Fabi. NOBODY. Every spectator was thinking, "d5??? What the hell is d5?" This must be Ding's immortal.

Beautiful game in a lot of ways. Ian giving Ding an appreciative/congratulatory smile as he resigns. Class. Mad respect to both players.

While I do like the changeup of having someone else besides Danya in the commentating mix, I'd never seen JUST Anish and David together, without at least a 3rd party, so wasn't sure about how well the personalities would mesh, but they were absolutely brilliant. Both the chess analysis/commentary and their senses of humor are absolutely totally winning.

PETITION TO BAR COMMENTATORS FROM CONSULTING ENGINES. It spoils the moment, the splendor of a once in a lifetime brilliancy.

I struggle to get my puzzle rating above 2250 because I just don't see the lines as deep as I used to when I was much younger. Had Ding's mastery at the end been a puzzle, I definitely would have fumbled it. Absolutely brilliant!

This is why chess is more than memorization. True artistry!

I know they are literal legends and my reasoning might be bad here. But doesn’t Queen promotion on a1 work for black after Qf7?

at 4:30:45 what happens when the bishop at b1 takes the knight at g6 how the mating pattern continues?

2:10:00 the mirrored knights on the left are protected by a P and Q respectively creating an interesting dynamic

После Фс7 Аниш не видел Фf7?
    Удивительно.
Сразу виден мат ладьей с f8.

Can someone explain what happens if black plays pawn to A1 and makes a queen?

Maybe they should outline the black pieces in white like they do the white pieces in black so we can see them better

‘Good knight bad bishop’ sounds like a buddy comedy
