Very refreshing to see I'm not the only one who's still using restrictive chess software that performs like it's from a quarter century ago. Three laptops, but no eval bar on the analysis board; constant inability to see latest move; unsure of immediate game results and why (resignation or on time). Why not just use Lichess, or stay on the live board that has an eval bar, or stay on a bird's-eye-view camera located on a tracking cable above each table to watch/analyse the games? I wanted to enjoy the games in real-time, but found I couldn't enjoy the simultaneous buggy af analysis. Why make a significant portion of these great commentators' job dealing with the constant technical difficulties?? Geez…

If I see LiveChess software being used again on future FIDE streams, I will not be watching. Also, a frequently-shown graphic depicting the anatomy and latest standing of all the teams would've been really helpful in following the matches. Could even show it during the three 25-minute comatose views of the playing hall in between rounds.

At any rate, in spite of the mind-bogglingly atrocious and amateur production we have now come to expect from FIDE, there were some really great games played as well as entertaining commentary…

To quote Magnus, "Do better." Maybe next year when FIDE turns 100 they'll figure out how to stream a tournament… Unsubscribed.

And what is Maurice up to if he doesn't commentate actively?

Ian with the Kings Gambit. Morphy is proud.

The commentary is so bad it makes rapid look like classical. Why is it so emotionless?

Absolute garbage commentary bunch of old folks yapping and pointlessly ANALyzing, that wahman is annoying and unlistenable and goes on worthless wahman tangents like good grief show the players more than the elders, poorly orchestrated thumbs down fide.
