Unlike your one "real street fight", I had many, won most; until in the 1960's discover the teachings of Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Dorthy Day , and others. It turns out my physical fighting experience was very useful working many years in a mental health crisis and detox center. Restraining out of control individuals trying to kill you gets really interesting and intense. As professionals we did restraining without rancor, fault , or blame…like a chess game a lot of times it was waiting for the next move. I am so thankful in my life to discover non-violence.
