Still waiting for a Mikhail Tal's best game as blackk !!

After watching Levy play, he gives me hope of being an IM. His opponents made it look easy to beat him!

Did anybody notice that the bravehorse NM guy he played had a Vatican City flag by his name?

Levy playing a game on YouTube: “okay I’m gonna leave my bishop here cause it’s actually really strong”
Levy playing a game on twitch:
“You’re worthless and I’m better than you, just resign”

Seeing a 2600 hang a rook in a skewer against Levy's "weak" bishop gives me hope that I might see 2,000 someday xD lol

i would rather being terified by a grandmaster then knowing my masked opponent could be Magnus Carlsen playing

I like how the “garbage bishop” in the first game won him the game by pinning the rook to the queen 🤣

perfered the title BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD, because it felt like a shout out to me

undeveloping a knight is definitely weird but it's not always a bad move, since even the opponent wouldn't know how to respond after for doing such a strange move

Levy has a great sense of humility.. I bet a lot of people would just delete the recording and try again! I feel like Levy plays worse like this…he plays with confidence when facing lower rated players. 😂

Just saw a horrible add to reach ur video so hope u worth that

Do more of this but put tape on how much elo you win and lose cuz that tells you what rating they are

Watching high rated games is crazy. I’m trying to figure how how taking a free piece is bad while levy sacks a knight thinking it’s a really good move

This is the best content only second to your IRL tournament participation & analysis (RIP).

I thought the video would be levy playing someone randomly from his fan base while attempting to guess their elo correctly

I don't think Focus Mode works for you. When you're playing lower rated opponents, and you know that, you're a lot more confident and looser in your game.

In Focus Mode you tend to be more cautious against lesser rated players, which doesn't happen if you know their rating is below yours.

Now it seems you're more hesitant with everyone you play against.

do this but accept random invites instead of searching for match up, to increase the range of rating – it'd be much more entertaining not knowing if you're playing a 400 or 3000 at the start

You should do a video in which you take your old games and without knowing your elo at that time, guess your own elo.

It feels so bad when your opponent play some stupid openings and you lose😥😥.

FWIW, I like videos where you explain your thought process, so this was very enjoyable for me; but unfortunately, this didn't seem very enjoyable for you. If a sequel is in the pipeline, then get 'em next time, Levy!

I've had so many bad, bad losing streaks suddenly, where I can't win no matter how easy.

I hate chess. If you don't hate chess, I don't think you're playing it right.

Levy roasts oponent because silly move > Levy gets cornered and mated > repeat

    We all love chess

9:05 my guy had a possible checkmate in 2. Qg4, Qxg7. The only problem being that the king could slip to Kg8 then Kf8

Mr. GothamChess I created a new opening called the rage opening, it’s where you move to a3, a4, and then h3 I want you to try it and ik it’s mostly a trash opening but just for the giggles

The way Levy comes up with these words, for lack of a better intro, is truly diverse

Just wanted to say that after watching your video on Tyler1 and his cow opening, I've only used that opening and my win loss is 6to1… crazy lol

I’d love to see this turned into a series or better yet a segment on a future twitch stream

3:56 am I wrong or is that just a straight up blunder + fork????

Levy gets nervous playing against higher rated players, whilst I see it as an opportunity to flex my superior brain cells 😌😂. Nobody can beat this 1000 GM 😎🦾

I think this was actually really a genius idea

You should do this but against everyone like guessing if it’s a 600

actually great idea for a mini series!

I really want to know the rating of your other account. I've seen you smash people at 2800+ but you keep falling down to 2750ish on the one you stream and make content on. We all know you're better than that but how much? Is it 3000?

I love this type of video, please make more like this 👍

23:02 Bro is playing against someome from vatican city 🇻🇦…

Gotham can you review more historic games please??

I think the concept of the video is interesting but misses the two core reasons GTE is so interesting IMO. The first is the wide range of ELOs that can potentially show up, leaving a huge gap in quality between games that make it less predictable. The other reason is that you don't know the ELO until it's revealed at the end of each game, letting the audience to join Gotham in figuring out what the ELO is. By having this small range of potential games (2500+), you increase the quality of each game, but you lower a lot of the chaos that leads to memorable moments. There's no "This dude is 161660!?" when you know everyone is 2500+ and will likely play competent games.
