I am no Hans fan, but this is just ridiculous. SLCC can hide their intents behind damaged property, not fulfilling contractual obligations but we all know the reality. After the Hasn-Magnus cheating scandal Hans played various tournaments and did play good chess. He did sort-off re-estabish his position as a good player.
This is the real cost of accusations. I feel that elite chess players are very paranoid about one-off exceptional performances. If Kramnik accused Denis Lzavik first instead of Hikaru, I am willing to bet that the chess world would have considered his statements more intently. Kraminik acused so many worthy players, he lost his credibility and everyone treats him as a grumpy old sore loser. Magnus has made 1 accusation and averyone decided to punish Hans.Imagine a world where Magnus accuses Caruana or MVL or So does his accusation on Hans still carry the same weight?
My point is an accusation is just aan opinion of the accusee on the accused. Unless corroborated with enough evidence, institutions should not turn this into a "fact"

when hikaru says im not cheating but you dont have to believe me and thats the problem. NO its not the problem. in life you have to believe somethings. we believe that you TOPTOP GMs who play incredibly over the years and win events would not suddenly start cheating for some online games. but these jospems and lazavik's of your world. these guys havent proven their mantel over the board. they play incredibly well. and espcially jospem yesterday. finding ALL THE PRECISE MOVES when he was down to 1-2 minutes. i mean cmon. a guy of nepo's calibre would play moves which dont require any modicum of thought. thats a bit much. a bit much.
