United Arab Emirates. I would think Arabian? 😂😂

I admit it. I like to watch Moke lose. The chess speaks for itself.

Wow, Ding Liren is having a horrendous tournament performance for a world champ. Must be the rust, whoever wins the candidates tournament has a really good chance of taking the WC title. Though he is 2780 for a reason!

As someone with a very low attention span I literally do not comprehend how you manage to never make me click off the videos. Keep up the good work!

Levy's gambit of making slightly clickbaity titles and thumbnails finally worked, nobody even comments on it anymore

Should've gone for the repetition, Historical Implications x3.

I want to point out that since the World Championship match between Ding and Nepo, Ding only played 2 international tournaments.

Firouzja, in both of these tournaments, has managed to beat both Ding AND Nepo. I hope he wins the candidates, he's an absolute beast and always comes up to fight

Question: why does he refer to vidit as vidit gujrathi when vidit appears as surname (vidit, santosh gujrathi).
At first i thought it was like in chinese ,where u say the surname first (like wei yi), but then i see that anand appears as Anand, Viswanathan, and we call him vishy anand (given name first).

If any indians or overall people that know the reason could answer me, i would appreciate it ✌️

I watched the livestream on Chessbase India. Wow did Gukesh blow it while Vidit 2.0 killed it. Agree fascinating tournament. These youngsters are good!

VD is Him , heart broken for Gukesh Tho

14:17 I am more impressed when GM's find 3-fold repetitions than I am when they see a 12-move checkmate.

Can we appreciate the fact that Maurizzi, despite being a full point up, still plays for a win with white and never tries to draw to secure the first place. 👏

Nepo always has the best reaction faces in chess, and it's not even close.

Everything is the newest, the most exciting in history of chess in every levy video

Alireza is beginning to understand what Carlsen had understood deeply for years. He has a bright future ahead of him, at least in terms of chess. Yet there is one more element that he is still missing, that Carlsen has only just begun to appreciate yet does not fully grok. So who's it gonna be?

Thank you for insulting my hometown btw 😂😂. No jk, love your stuff

UAE = Emirates, that's how my friends always say how they are, I'm an Emirate :shrugs:

It's DarDHa cuz the man is Albanian, not from Belgium

15:30 Levy, if you are really curious… It is because in those big cities it isn't being played as much where as in places like Wijk aan Zee and Zandvoort the game is being played more.

Someone from the UAE is called an Emirati do I look smart now

Why aren't chess tournaments held in big cities? Venue costs would be my guess.

No one will see my comment , so I will just say I’m gay

Yo Lev, another good series idea, do a video with this tempo but cover historical tournaments. I forget which Linares tournaments were the best ones, but Kasparov had alot of his best showing there and I remember seeing games along the way. I would love to see a series on Linares with the strongest players of the last era

Re: Nd1, Kramnik-Aronian Candidates 2018, the final move of the game was Ne8+ by Kramnik, hanging literally all his pieces. Not the Berlin with Kramnik as black, the other game against Aronian with Kramnik as white, which I think is honestly a much better game. For some reason back in the 2018 candidates, Big Daddy Vladdy K wasn't in peak form, but he had Levon's number memorized.

Daniel Dardha is actually Albanian. His father was Albanian national chess champion

I’m telling you, Levy is as cracked as he is jacked. I saw him at a 7-11 the other day buying Monster and adult diapers. I asked him what the diapers were for and he said ”they contain my full power so I don’t completely shit on these kids“ then he castled out the door

United Arab Emirates. He's an Arab.

I'm Dutch by the way. LOL.

Levy never fails to remember that the Candidates is in the small unknown city of Toronto

The fact that Niemann was with 12m in his clock while Korobov was 1h and 13m is actually crazy and show how badly he played that game

Ive never heard of Wei Yi before, but his game yesterday and today were really impressive

you're right @GothamChess someone from uae is called an Emirati

I think presenting 10 games in a 30 minute video is a very Good idea Gotham! The social media is leaning towards short format content So having many different games in a video keeps the viewer entertained and you get the Juicy watchtime 🙂 Good video and great chess ofc 😂

I miss u dancing, screaming and doing all these funny stuff. Great video btw but do sometime something like that. Or short funny intros should be great..
