    So if I,as a 2000 rated player beat 50 100 rateds I am a cheater or what?

The "infinity" perfomance is just about the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen

September 2022: chess speaks for itself
November 2023: statistics speaks for itself

The stats of public games are public. Full stop. If platforms want to increase transparency, they should be happy to provide running, detailed stats of all titled games. That's what computers do best after all. It's just like baseball or any sport stats, there is nothing private or personal about it.

"Poor artin" bro you're 0/0/1 to Artin relax lil bro

Elo was invented by a statistician and is fundamentally based on how likely it is that player A will beat player B. So if you compare the elo ratings and see how many times a person has won, you can calculate what elo they were playing at. I'm not saying that I can do it, but it can be done.

Kramnik is the kid that always choose B on a test, but puts a C because it would be sus if he didn't

Kramnik is a clown. Kramnik has single-handedly proven that you can be an absolute moron and still become a chess champion. There is hope for everybody.

There should also be a fine levied for trying to induce spurious investigations, especially if it's over Titled Tuesday results of all things. Kramnik is proving the truculent fool, yearning for a relevancy that will never really be his. Even Niemann, fluffy ball of rage that he is, knows when to shut up when a matter is settled.

Yeah.. drama to get views. Chess is a boring game and it s dead . Just give up guys

DUDE STOP CHANGING THE TITLE IT MAKES ME SO CONFUSED

bro really asked chatgpt to run his equation xd

Just looking at his calculation, if you win 10/10 against Martin, then your ELO is Infinity.

I don't think he understands what ELO actually represents… Like, it's there on Wikipedia, just read it.

You might not see this, but thank you so much for calling out the "gentlemen" thing, non binary people dont get enough love

Kramnik was suspicious of Hikaru's win-streak, why didn't he say anything about my 50+ losing streak?

I'm not saying it's a duck, I'm just saying it looks like a duck and walks like a duck and quacks like a duck!

Most basic principle of statistics is- correlation does not mean causation.

Isn't being one of the best in the world at anything basically being an statistical abnormaly?

An interesting piece of data might be to check if there is or there isn’t an ascending/descending trend of the accuracy of the two player along the streak… to prove if the opponents actually get mentally demolished and/or Hikaru gains more and more confidence

Btw, he did accuse him of cheating. He said that his numbers would "knock him out". That's not only an accusation, he's literally saying he has proof.

If I was Hikaru I would be so proud of myself. I am so good that people think I cheat, I mean that’s a huge compliment, if I’m sure I haven’t cheated

I believe this whole cheating scandal is a schitk. It's a page right out of WWE Monday night raw. Drama = interest.

Hikaru should sue Kramnik for slander and libel

Kramnik wants the ability to throw suspicion without the liability that comes with it

Me beating my lil sister in chess like +100 games in a row and they be surprised, calling me a cheater and what not.

levy: im not a data scientist
also levy: Bachelor's degree in statistics and quantitative modeling

    source:wikipedia btw

It's kinda funny that Levy scrutinizes Kramnik for not including women and non-binary people while he uses "Ladies and gentlemen" himself which doesn't include non-binary people. I don't mean to hate, just something kinda funny to me

So, he's asking for examination. Then proper data analysts analyze and say: Looks all good. And Kramnik then goes on: But it needs to be analyzed! .. err.. what did they just do? Publicly? Basically peer reviewed and peer reviewable!

i just wonder is Hikarus longest winning streak the one he got for the world record? that he played against like 1600 average?

He doesn't get it… the difference between hikaru and anyone else he is farming is vast. Its like me beating my 10 yr old 25 times in a row the his best mate 25 times… doesn't mean I'm cheating its just that I'm far batter than my opponents. This has to be one of the dumbest call outs I ever heard.

The performance metric just doesn't hold up once there's enough games involved. For example, I'm 1200. If I played Hikaru 100,000 games in a row he will win 100,000 of them. No stats, no odds to calculate here, 100% win rate guaranteed. The standard performance calculation says that beating a 1200 rated player 100,000 games in a row is a 3441 performance. It isn't. I'd wager every player over 2000 could beat me every single game for that long of a streak.

If you beat 2400 rated players 100 times in a row that's a "3440 performance". But no one would bat an eye at Hikaru or Magnus either one beating 100 2400's in a row. In fact it'd be more shocking if they managed to lose one.

At high enough game count and rating the formula just breaks down.

It just seems like an internet fuse not worth making video off

13:06 the hyperbolic outrage over the opening to Kramnik's blog post is why I love this channel so much.

This is why I lose many games in a row, I don't want to be accused of cheating

3/0 is the dirtiest time control in online chess ! Hikaru, Magnus, and Danya know all the tricks in the book. Plus they do chess streams. I agree with Levy. Great insights brother thanks !

In all seriousness, Levy, your channel is much bigger, than Levitov Chess, да и по-русски ты говоришь, ask Kramnik for an interview!

Funny how Kramnik shows Russian old people mentality: "Your name, your family name, your home address, your pet's name, please. Or your opinion doesn't count"
Exactly like old people in all of the social spheres, from family's to positions of power

Plot twist: Naka and Gotham slipped him some cash to call Naka a cheater, planning ahead to take in some easy view revenue.

Kramnik just loves that ppl talk about him, he just wants some attention

Vladmir should just try a winning streak himself playing against 2600-2800 players. Maybe he will realize that reaching such statistical records isnt as hard considering how high up he is in terms of his elo rating.

This guy, a top player of a skill based game, does not know that probability cannot be measured accurately when skill is involved? There is no rolls of the doce within chess moves, so what probability is he talking about.
