I almost drowned when I was 9 so I was at a beach and I didn’t know how to swim but it was not deep enough for me to sink and then high tide came and I was panicking and I almost drowned but my sisters friends were there ( because it was my sisters bday)
So I grabbed on them and pulled myself towards them then I went to shore ngl I thought I was dead

I did something similar when I was like 10 but luckily at a pool in Jones Beach lol I had a friend at the time who was from Bermuda and was basically a fish I decided to listen to him when he said 7 feet is only a few feet taller than me so jumping off the short diving board should be fine. Yeah 3 feet may as well be 3 miles when you don’t know how to swim. Luckily the lifeguard saw me. I was enrolled in swimming classes later that year and now I AM THE FISH!

The majority of people whose first language is English use the word to refer to gridiron football or some other variation, like Aussie Rules Football. You should really use the term "association football" to refer to that sport, or "soccer" for short.
