Mad dedication my fellow. I'll leave a like and a comment. Maybe share if someone asks me in the future how I deal with pins. I'd like to have a look on how other gm's deal with pins, maybe not super gms, or maybe some Im (due to them being more closer to my and possibly our elo as audience in comparison to gms, which have a much different understanding of the game).
In example one, moving the queen, it would have been nice to see the next move by Magnus. I'd imagine he defended against the knight but still seeing his next move and (depending on your expertise, 1st time viewer) if he wanted the knight to come in or if he should have just moved the queen to defend against the knight initially.
Love the content idea.
Edit: just saw you're titled so your expertise is obviously valued.
Magnus gets pinned throughout the whole video. Can I get pinned atleast once, Nelson?
Ah nevermind. I see the answer to my question!
Thanks!!
"You can do it Nelson" ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
Why no one is talking about 3:18??
you really do your research. kudos and love your channel, man! can you maybe also share a vid on openings beyond e4e5?
55% of the time. Every time.
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing
It would have been interesting to see how success rate with these approaches
One of your best videos. Makes me wonder how other players handle the same thing

6:00 you say bishop is the answer, but he already has a horsey horse covering the pin.
High quality video ๐
I realy just watched a 10min wideo about pins๐๐
Donโt stretch out your video time come on brooo
The title is click bait.
It should be good he responds, not DESTROYS in capital.
you should have stratified by color played, this makes no sense, itยดs most definitely distorted
๐
Great video.
the 0% is when he defended with a king
Nice idea for a video!
Good points, but man you are talking to much.
So cool
I now see the difference between Magnus and me. That is, sometimes I ignore the pin as well, but Magnus doesn't lose the queen in the process.
The dedication๐ฅถ๐ฅถ
Did it matter whether it was pinned with the queen or king?
basically, thinking is the point and the key to the chess myth xd
I guessed that ignoring it would be the top choice. Not really that surprising I think.
My little brother:ah yes Iโll respond like this (moves the knight)
I'd be curious to see win/lose/draw% for each of the slices, also
Your mic is distorting. Best lower the recording volume, it's easier on the ears ๐
Wow, I actually thought that there was going to be something like 80 % of king up for a late bongcloud ๐๐๐

13:00 Why did you say "former world champion"? Isn't Magnus is the champion now?
Actually he probably responded like this, he thought to himself
"Oh no, a pin"
Gotta respect ur grind
New sub fr
Nice video and funny bit with "easier/easily". It happens ๐
Good video ๐
Great video, thanks Nelson.
I guees I'm on the right path. I ignore it everytime
Defend with Knight isnt a Pin destroy at all. The Knight is still pinned. Also Defend with Queen is the same. And – for sure – flank pawn, too.
good job…thanks
Just ignore the pin unless you feel that it is going to be pressured
Just curious, at 4:46, why not move the queen to B3 instead of going to C2?
Thanks nelson, I will remember to ignore my opponents while playing chess ๐
He can use bishop pair.
Sometimes you need to sacrfice to get out the pin. What if you got double pin? Sometimes you need castle.
Dude. Ur a nerd๐คฃ u rock. This was an awesome presentation
Chess but you can't capture pieces.
Play Martin and try to mate him without taking a piece.
The way I respond is with ignoring letโs see if magnus does the same shall we?
This is a great video. This video will surely improve my future chess gameplay and skills. Thank you very much.
