I take a deep breath and hold it for 4 sec. Then I look for a.better move

But I need to watch a tutorial for my opening while I play it

I can't say much about what helps me focus but when I was 1400 (1500 now) I played against a 1900 and I won. One of the many things I noticed was the anoujt of focus I put into the game. Afterwards I was shaking l, breathing heavily and couldn't think straight. After this I noticed how I felt like this after playing games, especially those that were not finished (chores, playing with friends, etc). I was focused on the game to the point that I was irritated by everything except chess.

Study Chess with a Friends in real life!

You can help each other even if both at 200 ELO!
    with friend you can:

    • do book puzzles, and only move one color

    • collaboratively understand theory books

    • Someone reads theory book, someone moves pieces to follow notation

    • Analyzing game with a friend allows more discussion and can be more useful than following chess engines which play much higher ELO & are more complex

    • Friends make chess social & are good for motivation!

I use stock fish and my win rate skyrockets

Improved in fer months from 300 to 1300….
Advice- Have a full glass of cold water ( not chilled) before your game
    It works

I am a NM in chess you are better than me tell me what is the best opening in chess

If it is hard that is good because that means it’s hard for your opponent as well dis tractions tasks away focus you need a game plan

This are 2 things that made me get 300+ rating (1100 to 1400)
    1-learn tatics in a chessboard
when u try learn with the cellphone u want to check u want to open the social media or other game and is too easy so if u want learn more tatics get a book try calculate and if u can't find in 10 or 15 minutes u open the engine

    2-get some pauses
Play some games 15|10 like 2 or 3 and make a pause to don't overthink cause overthink=panic
    Panic=blunders
    Blunders=lose

    4:40 it's not a dangerous check it's a mate 🤡🤌🏻

I listen to phonk every time I play 🤡🚩

I felt that I was losing a lot last weeks so I stop playing couple days, give it a rest. I found that I was so obsessed of improving with the Kings Indian. Which of course is a great defense, but sometimes your opponent is doing some things that you may pay attention aswell. So I would advice to be adapatative to what your opponent is doing. It's a good idea watching chess videos and seeing other games to see what people do and what you shouldn't do, avoid begginers traps… But don't obssess with openings, defenses… Don't play to much games, 2-3 or even 4 per day is okay. Your brain is a muscle, and if you fatigue your brain you will start losing a lot

I won 11 games in a row yesterday after watching a few of your videos(got lucky in a few games though) My username: NAMI669 in case anyone wants to see my noob games😂

Spend more time when opponent makes a move you think was bad

my simple "trick" is that u must be calm, if you're mad or stressed you will be distracted distraction = bad move bad move = losed match

Every time I'm about to make a move, I just ask myself
    1. Any checks on his king?
They're usually very annoying and weaker players commit the most blunders when under check.

    2. Any checks on my own king?
As a weak player myself, I don't enjoy the stress of getting checked early in the game.

    3. Suppose I make this move, what's the absolute worst thing that could happen?
And I try to scan the whole board.

    4. How can I protect my pieces better?
It can lead to longer, more stressful games, but it's better than an attack race where we both lose pieces brainlessly to see who gets checkmated first.

    5. What does my opponent want?
It remains the most important question in all of chess, and in much of real life too. If I can't understand their plan, how could I stop it?

I’ve reviewed a few of my latest Games and I’m rated 800 Rapid but it says I’m playing at 1000-1200 level and have 85% accuracy. Most of my latest games have 0 Blunders

    " Don't watch YouTube "

If I draw excessive arrows for no reason I play extremely better

Things i do to focus (Also in life)
Do something that pumps you up. It could be music, slapping your face, saying a Motto, just like a guard dog that is licking itself and when it's owner says "HOTDOG!" It immediately eats your feet.

I've noticed I play better on my computer than phone…

Playing people better than you increased my Elo by 200 in 3 weeks

What helps me is changing habits and keeping a schedule

    When I watch chesspage1 I instantly become stockfish 6900000000

15 mins of meditation in the morning. It reorients you to have less monkey brain. Keeps you focused.

After i listen to remix static song on yt my chess elo turn to 1000+ thx

Try to do something chess related every day.
Consistency is key when it comes to improving. I try to play at least one game a day, or at least solve a few puzzles.

When I'm calm and not angry I win a lot

Bro is slowly turning from a chess youtuber to a red pill life advice channel😂

Sit at the chessboard and play with yourself. It's really amazing. (MAGNUS CARLSEN)

Thank you soo much i beat nikamura yesterday on street

    With a bat

Take two openings one as white and other as black, usually London system for white and caro kann for black works for me, and practice them f*cking hard, so that you don't need to think much before making a move it will give you edge over opponents
