I dont know why you didnt cover that game hikaru broke 3400. It defeats the purpose of the content. For those who didnt know hikaru played 13 games against this guy from the Philippines(rated 2800-2900) when he broke 3400. Where he has to win all games just to gain 1 point per game. When he reached 3400 he said he retires and will quit farming.
So that's what Hikaru has been up to while Magnus was winning the freestyle G.O.A.T challenge.
