I think Ding should make up his mind regarding his chess career. He is good at chess, but chess has given him unhappiness in his life, he said it himself in the past.

I was thinking why not Qe7 check ? None of the videos I saw discussed Qe7- Kf1 move suggested by you. would this have given some respite to Ding despite threat of Re1 !?

How does one make a blunder in a classical game?

The most undeserving WC in chess history.

Does anyone know what was wrong with Ding's health?

at least no bad smells affected the outcome

I remember Radjabov he reached 2790s ten years ago and qualified for candidates. He went into hibernation to preserve his points but he lost his groove. He was badly beaten in candidates. Same here. Ding not playing for long is impacting his game.

Everyone have a very fine week…I think comments help the algos?

Alireza fighting every game. He lost to two blunders himself and he is still tied for first place???

And you have older people saying the world champion is always the beat like ben finegold lol magnus is the goat and hikaru very close

Magnus already knew Alireza is a serious threat

Alireza in his essence and great commentary by James. Air quality joke was a nice one, specially if one knows the background in the late Chess24 AirThing advertising!

The lad is coming good at the right time for the candidates this was a brilliant dominant display

I know you were laughing at the fact you said “ B5 comes on the board” 🤔😆😭😭😭😭😭

same thing against pragg, he made some wierd mistakes

No wonder Carlsen speaks so highly of this guy -Alireza

The candidates is gonna be wild, everybody thinks they could beat Ding at this point.

Nepo should have won the Championship last year… he was always the better more consistent player.

It looked like Nepo allowed Ding to win (I’ve always thought that it had to do with China 🇨🇳 and Russia 🇷🇺 being allies)

In regards to the present state of our world, it wouldn’t be surprising to find out that that was indeed what had happened.

You may not know this but chess like poker and other similar activities is more than just calculating moves ahead, especially at nose bleed levels it’s about getting into a “flow state” where your superpowers come in where the best of the best can get into that zone on demand and that is why my friends some great players are a hit-and-miss at times and a hand full of others are consistently crushing
Just one thing I wanna add my friends, this flow state thing is not your friend, well it is short term it seems but in the long run you start to lose your mind and become unstable and very depressed as it taps into a source that is taxing and comes with major consequences

I appreciate your videos, just the perfect timing, not too short not too long, and the 'why you cannot recapture' for the noobs like me^^ Thanks again

I said it alirizha lose with that woman 2500 and wins with dinglirn2800 .. alirizha is my favorite player bat he will make me lose my mind.. anyway God jop alirizha and thanks form Iraq 🇮🇶

We all know who the strongest player in the world is. HINT: Not WC Ding.

Ding was out for too long. Hope he would soon recover his edge.

bro doesn't care about winning at all, he just wants to be in the thumbnail !!

I was guarding an empty colliery in Kent all day watching this on my Android. It was as windy as hell!

I feel like Alireza has a rampant superpower that he cannot control. It manifests itself from time to time and sometimes backfires terribly. If he could tame it, he'd become unstoppable imo.

There'd be no shame in losing to 2020 Alireza (back when he was good), but Alireza is struggling himself lately. Right here, right now, it feels like Ding won't be able to defend his title. I'd go so far as arguing that Ding gamed the system to get into the championship match last year. Still– he played by the rules and became the champion. I doubt Ding will ever catch lightning in a bottle like that again, but he did find a path to becoming the world champion. No one can ever take that from him. Actually.. someone is going to take it from him pretty soon. I just mean, like, it's a cool accomplishment. I guess. Not really sure where I'm going with this.

Why does it seem like Ding has glaring blunders in a lot of his games?

Nice tactics from Alireza very creative I’m sure he was happy with himself after coming up with that game changing move Thanks for the Game Good Call I haven’t seen Gukesh fourth win in row against Ju Wenjun (suggestion) I don’t know if it was an exciting enough game to showcase maybe ?

Ding took the bribe (obviously a lay down)

What a brutal game from Alireza, no Breathing space for Ding

I've been watching your videos for a while now. Just wanted to say that you've become my favorite chess commentator. The analyses have just the right tempo, depth of analysis, etc. Plus, you speak very clearly, which is a plus for non-native speakers like me.

Nepo and Ding both seem to struggle with the limelight on them, I do feel like there is an opportunity for someone to come out of the canidates and absolutely smash it at the world championship. Hard choice who I would like that to be though. Great video, well funny. I'm sitting drying out from this UK storm as well.

Ding is going to get bull whipped regardless of who wins the candidates. That's IF he plays.

very very aggresive game alireza. in games alirezs is risk calculated

Hopefully Ding plays a few more tournaments before the Championship match to get back in the groove of things. Whoever makes it out of the Candidates is going to be a tough opponent.

Not playing for so long has definitely decreased Ding

I love seeing Alireza bounce back like this
