Vishy is one of the rarest chess players who is not socially handicap. 😂
I remember a friend of mine walking up to him some 30 years ago in Dortmund, after he finished his game, and asking him some question about an opening. He had no problem taking a couple of minutes, answering the question and explaining things to them. So, concerning the "down to earth": very much so.

I have never seen a top level player being so vulnerable and sharing his emotional moments as eloquently and gracefully as Vishy did here. You can see the humaneness, the acceptance, the maturity, the Master Yoda like calmness and wisdom flowing through. Great Interview.

I was lucky enough to meet mr Anand in an event in Mumbai. He is the most pleasant, kind and nice person of interest I have ever met, what a legend. I don't think I have ever heard anyone say one bad thing about him. An example of humbleness for all of us. Cheers from Italy
