I liked your approach but I have some suggestions I hope you will take it as a constructive criticism,
. Remove that Blast scene from the ending, instead you can use something like in the harry Potter movie where chess pieces shatter like glass or stones
. Don't make the pieces fly it looks goofy.
. Lower your camera angle more so the epicness of chess pieces looks more prominent, it should look as if you are an ant and everything is big.
Lighting is nice and so is the board, good job keep it up, I am myself a game designer and I could understand how much work you have put into it so all the best brother 😄👍
