I Shouldn’t Have Underestimated Him…

This is the recap of round 4 of the chess tournament I’m playing in – Reykjavik Open. In this round I played a 1600 rated player I completely underestimated. Hope you enjoy the video!

    "I´m worse, but i didn´t accept a draw".
A true Bellon, from head to toes…..

Why do you have superlight for chess? 😀

Anna is always in a good mood, which viewers like. She is open and can also deal with defeats optimally. Anna is a good ambassador for chess and we wish her a happy life.

ERIC TOOK DOWN YOUR MOM AND NOW HES LOOKING TO FINISH THE JOB

Lets go on anna twitch channel..i just wanna hear what Mom analyze and commentary about this game..Btw congrats again..

So if you're getting beaten by a player 400 or 500 weaker rating, just wait for them to blunder, then you can take all the credit for winning. Unlikely Eric Rosen will be so willing or easy to intimidate.

Don't fall for the Rosen Gambits 🙂
    Good Luck

Poor old man haha i loved his reactions, such a gentleman! good game. 😀

Anna's Achilles' heel: Relying too much on the same opening (d4). She should play something few would expect and be prepared for, such as f4

im not a chessplayer, but i always say that you should never underestimate your opponent. id also confuse my opponent by playing differently everytime as to not create a pattern thats easy to read.

He's a good sport. That next game vs Eric is going to be real tough.

Pia is a my crush. She will never age. Sending love from Australia

Excited to see your game vs Eric! Gl hf

I like the Rose logo on the laptop. Can anyone tell me what brand that is? (Or is it just a personal customization?)

Good luck, Anna. Love watching you play and these recaps. Your mom rock’s commentating.

Is that the same Kevin Winter that played at Prior Pursglove college?

It´s so great you`re playing competetive chess in "real" tournaments again. These videos are so much fun to watch and so exciting. Wish you success!

    Hey Anna
You're totally awesome!! Whether you win or lose, you're always smiling. Wish I could catch whatever you have

But eventually, the higher player won anyway, as usual. On the other hand, I DID actually lose to a guy 500 points weaker than me in a tournament few months ago.. for my defense, I had slept 3 hours after not sleeping at all the previous night, so I was absolutely wasted lol. I thought "hmm, he wants to trap my knight" and then literally forgot about it and got my knight trapped anyway.

Dude played his final move in my style, just suck the rook for no reason.

I would like to roast you❤

I don't get how he played so good then started handing you free pieces

you could try to do a post-reykjavik party with all your opponents!

I play with much lower rated players and non does a move like that with the rook at the end. He must have over worked his brain during the game and had a brain fart at the end.

Anna is something else her smile totally makes you forget all her blunders 😂 lovely woman ❤

I like how you can see rosen at the next board

It"s a pity Anna is a d4 player, Eric won't be able to do the Stafford gambit. 😄

This series of tournament streams and recaps have been so enjoyable!

lillen ska sova. lillen ska sova. i vårt trygga hem. lillen ska sova 😱🙀

Do you talk that fast and in that much detail as a normal course of events? Please don't get me wrong, it is fascinating to hear, but it also wears me out trying to keep up with the pictures you are painting, and now I feel like laying down for a while. Not so much a good game as a fortunate game perhaps, but boy oh boy, you must have a headache after making this great video.

kids don’t have a fear of losing, they play because it is play to them, Fun, they enjoy playing the game. Even If they lose the game, they are ready to play again . How different how an adult gets scared when they feel their pride is on the line, it makes the adult nervous and that fear has to be overcome because it occupies the mind and affects concentration. So, I hope Anna enjoys her next rounds for the fun of the playing, win or lose…..with no scary nerves. Have Fun, or it isn’t worth playing.

I believe against d6, as a 2000+ player you should consider d4 and then e4, let them play a Pirc or a Modern (or a Philidor) and try to squeeze them with the classical lines (Nc3, Nf3, Be2, 0-0,(Bc4 against the Philidor), h3, a4), otherwise, you give your opponent an easier, more comfortable game, like what you saw in this game.

I think at 10:00 you should've sacked because you get good compensation and that bishop is a thorn in the skin. Your Queen turns into an active piece and you might have some chances in the midgame.

@4:50 if your brain feels like a sponge it could be inflammation which could be caused by stress, and I recommend Ashwaganda root for that, and/or it could be just being really depleted, I'd eat salmon that is wild caught and fatty to get some omega 3 fatty acids to refuel that brain. Hope it helps!

That opening was dreadful, but kudos for turning down the draw.
