I Shouldn’t Have Underestimated Him…

This is the recap of round 4 of the chess tournament I’m playing in – Reykjavik Open. In this round I played a 1600 rated player I completely underestimated. Hope you enjoy the video!

Good luck for tomorrow an nice work today.

Lucky escape! Best of luck till the end.

I've been watching too many videos when I start to recognize other players in the background

I can beat Anna Crumcake. Put up or shut up!!

Congrats Anna! Have fun tomorrow! Good luck! Oh and first

Hey Anna, I’m actually making a documentary about chess players. And I included you and your parents. You guys are really good chess players’

Just found your page. Your approach is very refreshing. Allowing us to watch your losses as well as your wins and being completely transparent. You make it more human. Thank you.

Love the channel. Learning a lot. Thank you for sharing and reviewing your games.

You hit on the difference between a 1600 rated player and one who is 2000+……they can play strong for much of the game, but when low on time, they make one move that is some type of blunder or that allows a good player an opening, and then quite quickly, they are toast. Believe me, I know from being on the wrong side of things many times.

Nice , the old men's turtel taktic has knock out some masters .

Rosen getting roasted in the background :D, 12:10

He completely threw the game cause after the horrible opening there was like a 50% chance that a random move he made was winning.

Another great recap! I think you're right: by you hanging in there and pressuring him with good ideas, he was bound to make a blunder of some kind that you could capitalize on. Congratulations!

He looks like a great person to play with but one exception: He’d kick my butt! What a fun game.

How long in real time do these matches take?

This is the most lovely chess video ever made. So sincere, bright, funny, open, humble and insightful.
You are really an adorable person.
Not bad at chess too 😉

Funny when you think u done agood move but it is actually a blunder

Jesus how stupid. Women really make stupid chess players amongst other things.

I appreciate your effort to compete and create content simultaneously, Anna. Thank you ♟️🖤

I wish you would post your mums commentary on you tube.. quality not as good on that other platform..😊 thanks ❤

Omg how did he lose that, free bishop and free rook, Anna played around 1300 it looks like, no offence intended to anyone

If you were to put a percentage on what makes a good chess player.
    Memory
    Patience
    Opening and endgame theory

I think even if you got decent memory and is capable of learning opening and endgame theory. If you lack patience you're not going to want to bother with it, I can't justify the patience required to grind to 2000 rating. It's only suggestive of time spent trying to learn the game not of what you're capable of. This wouldn't be as true if it weren't for the opening and endgame theory, if theory didn't exist and the game was truly just a test in memory you would see a lot of lower rated players take a significant jump in rating.

I don't think Kevin would want to be reminded how long he's been playing chess for 😂😂😂

Very good recap, Anna. I love your energy and competitiveness. Add to that your genuine, ever-present smile and you are a joy to watch.

You should not underestimate people who are older, with real life experience who you can learn something from. But you do. I think it is taught today.
So after you are dome playing chess, you will have to figure the world out yourself, from your own inexperienced life experiences.
Now I understand why the game is called a "rabbit hole". A lot has happened off the chess board in the world in the past, and a lot more is happening now.
It is wise to pay attention to that also, and ask ourselves, "How do we want to live our lives",—so we don't get check mated.
Did you ban me here, or YT?

ITs sooo easy to see what you should do in review…looks like my games!lol

I do not play chess, just know the basics.. but you are such a positive person and just..bubbly, so i keep watching and have no idea about all these moves 😀 but who knows, maybe i will get into chess!
