I feel that the bets for playing black between Nodirbek and Denis deserves some coverage as well (around 2:15.00 in the event recording). As well as the absolute banger of a match Denis played in his Armageddon against Maxime. Shows the difference in confidence on vs off the board.

Nice of EC to stop using the stupid "plow" word when the rest of the world calls it "the boomerang" opening. Anyways: Deniz is good. But if someone showed you a photo of him and you had to guess his age, he could've been any age. He looks as if he could be: 7, 17, 27, 37, 47 or 57. Not that it matters, just a clever observation.
So did Carlsen bet 15 min so he would have a larger time advantage? This implies that both players get what they bid, instead of only the player with black getting less than 15 min. Is this true?

I want a refund of my like if I don't turn into a GM in 3 to 4 weeks.
Now that I have subscribed and smashed "like" I fully expect to be a Grand Master within three to four weeks.
I subscribed 24 days ago, when I was rated 859 now I am a grandmaster. Seriously though Magnus played some inferior moves, with chances, then as soon as Hikaru gave him a chance, Magnus suddenly switched on bats mode. Thanks James.

Bidding 15:00 was a nice touch by Magnus to make Hikaru annoyed at his own bid.
For all the non-believers out there, I can confirm that after just 3 weeks of subscribing and liking this channel, from a rating of 1800 I am now a GM. If I'd have known getting to GM would have been that easy, I would have subscribed and liked a lot sooner. Now, to Super GM, which I believe takes an additional 6 weeks of liking/subscribing?

Listen, folks, I'm not trying to take all of the credit here, but I have a feeling that my repeated, absurd comments are what inspired the masterstroke of this video: the absolutely ridiculous day 2 highlights from the beginning of this video. I'm super glad to see my man EC picking up lots more views recently. My goal is for him to get big enough to stop being able to respond to me. Unrelated side note: I've assumed the result every time this channel has told me not to and I've rarely been wrong lol.
